Chris is the kind of guy you want to spend your free time around. Iv learned many valuable skills from similar mechanical minded people that were willing to let me shadow them and learn, and it has allowed me to achieve things thought I could never do, and doors to open in my life that wouldn't have been possible. I like watching his videos, not only for the good content he creates, but also the vast wealth of knowledge that can be continually learned through his and others experiences

Hey man. Wanted to tell you I bought an 07 rhino 660 / 686 about 3 years ago. It needed a ton of work and I spent a lot of time watching you videos along with a lot of others. I know I'm late commenting on this. But I just want to contribute a tip about glass. The back side of a mirror is the flattest glass surface you can easily acquire. The reason for this is during production of the glass, when a liquid, the bottom is flatter than the top and so when making a mirror the silver coating is applied to the bottom to reduce optical distortion. So when using glass to back sandpaper I learned to use the back of a mirror to get the flattest surface.

Hi Chris, I've binged watched your videos for the past 8 months now and I'm a novice mechanic myself, but I'm not afraid to take advise from highly skilled mechanics such as yourself. I like watching the videos that you post alongside your wife Jen, and doggie Gus. In this video on fixing the Yamaha rhino 660 UTV I've heard you say that the headlights suck, I highly recommend that if it takes headlight style/size headlights to get the Hikari 2023 future 30000 LM LED bulbs 65w Titanova LED high lumens 6000k cool white Ip68 waterproof headlights, They are not really 30,000 lumens as advertised, more like half that at 15000, they're a bit pricey at $130, but well worth it. I can easily see 500 ft to about 1,000 ft ahead of me, and they have a wide viewing angle for in your case on the trails for potential danger with animals crossing your path. I'm in no way being sponsored by Hikari, I just like their products, and I've tried over 20 different types of styles of headlights, based on durability, brightness, and quietness. And these by far beat the rest. You said you wanted to put a light bar on the rhino, well with these headlights you will not need that light bar... Good luck..

I just rebuilt the engine on my rhino 660 after dropping 3 valves, bored 50 over now, runs great now but it cranks for awhile after sitting for a minute. @NoNonsenseKnowHow

Damn that's crazy yours dropped three though. It seems like these things have quite a few engine problems. Thanks for the input. My starting problem is actually rectified. After putting a new stator in it due to the fact that it wasn't charging, it cranks up perfectly every time now. So I'm thinking something was wonky with the pickup coil.

Interesting to see someone who knows Andrew as I have been following his videos on KZitem for years. We have 2 Rhinos. One is the 660 and the other a 700 EFI. They are pretty unstoppable and we use at least one of them every day in our ranch operation. Really loved your engine work and honest review. Adding an led light to illuminate the box area is a real help too. Top speed on the 660 is about 50 mph and the 700 about 40 mph because of its rev limiter.
