The part about the flight insurance, here's a neat little trick if they try to fk you like that: just charge it back. I had a flight canceled on me WHILE BOARDING, and if you haven't guessed by now, it's fking Qantas. I had to charge them back because they refused to give me an alternative flight without paying an extra 400, and what's worse is that it was scheduled TWO DAYS later. I had a meeting with the embassy I couldn't miss, so I asked for a refund. They refused, so I did the obvious thing. It took me ten days, but since I just screenshotted my emails to them and forwarded it to my bank as evidence, it was an open and shut case. What's funny is that they contact you a day before you get your money back from the chargeback process, asking you to cancel the chargeback and they'll give you the money. Like, listen, cun-t, you already wasted my time and treated me like a used condom, and now you want to blackmail me with my own money? Get fked, mate.

Does this work with any bank, what bank were you with?
@DicerX
3 ай бұрын
@@baxterclagmoar9333 Pretty much any Australian bank. I’m with Commonwealth but it doesn’t really matter, they're required by law to assist you with this. If you pay for a service and they don’t fulfill their end of the bargain they’re liable, they can write all they want on the “agreement” contract that they’re not liable etc, but that doesn’t matter. Just make sure that when you contact the support you keep your cool and be reasonable. Follow these steps: • Your first email must be asking for an alternative flight that’s free and accommodating. They’ll refuse. • Ask for a refund as they did not offer a service nor a free alternative. They’ll refuse again. • They tell you that if you start a refund process with them, it’ll take a month or two and you can only get half of your money back. Or even nothing. NEVER AGREE. • State that you’re unsatisfied with this process and you’ll start charging back with the bank. • Now contact your bank, with Commonwealth it’s all via chat in the app. Email your grievance then attach your support emails + flight receipt. • Ten days later: money back. Remember you need to show the bank that you tried and exhausted all your options but Qantas still wants to fk you. That should be it. But keep in mind that in this whole fucked up shit you’re going through, you’ll be talking to average employees, they barely make anything above minimum wage, so make sure that you are polite and respectful to them, because God knows they feel just as helpless as you in that scenario.
