I was at IWF last week and came across your booth. This seems to be an excellent product. It's perfect for making signs or other items where you don't have to cut through the board (which would damage the cup if not properly located). That said, suppose I had a piece that would traditionally be cut with a scroll saw (i.e. lot's of small cutouts on the interior of the piece. What are your thoughts on placing a piece of 1/8" thick MDF between the cups and the piece to be cut to effectively make a spoil board to protect the cups? I'm talking pieces that are no more than 12" x 12". Have any of your customers done anything like that? I know I can use gasketing directly on the primary spoil board of the CNC router with my piece to be cut on top, but using the approach described above seems like it would be easier. Your thoughts? If my message isn't coming through clearly, I'll email something to customer service with some diagrams that depict the type of pieces I'm talking about.

I like the idea of these pods! Question...if this CNC DID have pop-up pins, would they come up higher than the pods so that you could square your material to them or would you use the pins some other way like using a board up against the pins as shown in this video with no pins? Thanks.

Hi Larry, Our pins are threaded in the center. In that case you would add your own extension to accommodate the height you desire.

@@LagunaTools Thanks. Any thoughts on how to do this on machines whose pop-up pins aren't threaded for extensions?

@@steinbierz If the pods are 3/4" thickness or thinner than they can be used with the pop-up pin system on our machine. For pods thicker than 3/4", Better Vacuum Cups (BVC) actually offers a retrofit pop-up pin alignment system that will work. Hope this helps Larry!
