So underated! One of my favourite compositions from J.S. Bach! Bravo on the Vivace 💚🧘😌!

I used to read, and play after a fashion, a single line of music. How anyone can play these three lines together, and so perfectly, is quite beyond me

I used to be able to play much of Bach"s organ work, but the Trio Sonatas are indeed difficult and I never managed to be able to play any of them.

What an artist! One of 'the' greatest organists of the 20th century. Bach came (comes) alive under her fingers and feet. Eminently listenable always!

I'm always amazed by Bach. How does one manage to be so great at composing so frequently? I don't think I've heard a bad Bach peice

Val O'Brien what fascinates me is the man's ability to keep the flow piece by piece. There isn't a single bad apple in the bunch. Like how was able to maintain that?

Val O'Brien No, I think it makes perfect sense that he found and coined a sound early on and just used it over and over again. Reminds me of a lot of other greats, Mozart, Beethoven, and even Meshuggah (whom are geniuses in very different sense) all how a sound they just used.

There aren't any bad Bach pieces. I don't think he was capable of a bad piece if he tried - which he never would. This guy dictated "Art of the Fugue" on his deathbed, blind and in agony from a botched eye operation - but he had to do it! I think 'genius' is an insufficient word to describe him as, as it would be with Einstein. Bach was the musical Einstein.

insanely complex in every way (counterpoint, performance, structure, ...) but still so beautiful and light. i.e. 3:06 - 3:30 is extremely difficult to play and phrase, especially on the organ.

DarkimCraft by that standard, anything is music, from someone screaming to the sound of nails on a chalkboard, you can call it music if you like but by my personal judgement I think that's pretty far from my own definition of music
