I joined the Catholic Church in 2016 AD. Bishop Stephen said that he didn't see me as a convert but as a Christian coming home to the fulness of faith. That took me by surprise but I understand what he meant now. When we become Catholic it is not that we were never Christian, but that we have discovered the true unending Church that Christ established - like scattered sheep finding the fold.

I remember when they asked me to help carry sound equipment for the ladies who are doing praise in a procession here in Mexico. We had to climb a hill and we all arrived tired 😆 But ... It was nice to see how they did the mass up the mountain and then they fed me without asking for anything in return, a humble but very tasty meal.

Touching video! Thanks be to God and our Lord Jesus Christ for families, children and the fathers who will rise up and be a light unto the people of Wisconsin and our nation! And yes, thanks to Catholic Vote who shares the most inspiring videos about faith in Christ and love for our families and each other and our great country! Them light cast it’s beauty through the State Capitol Building, but that was just a sign to go further to find the True Light of the World! I can identify with that photographer because I am like him, I am not a Catholic, but this still inspires me to a deeper faith and that’s how God uses things, events and people of faith to shine the light!

I'm a Roman Catholic. In my opinion, the Blessed Sacrament belongs in a sanctuary, in a church building, protected, in a holy place, by compassionate & prayerful attendees witnessing the revelation of the Body of Christ. If I took Holy Communion and held it up and marched in the streets, I would be scolded and admonished by priests responsible for the sacred host. Just the same (in a communal way), I object to the monstrance in the public square as though paraded in a mythologically misunderstood and grossly irresponsible way. Jesus said he came for the salvation of "many." Right? That's the recent Vatican translation of his words (after we said for years that Jesus came for the salvation of "all") as we prayerfully find in the Liturgy of the Eucharist. Therefore, I believe this public act of exposing the Blessed Sacrament to the general public is inappropriate and takes the form of crucifying Jesus' body again (after the resurrection, no less) much as a priest (the vessel of the incarnation of Christ) is symbolically carrying his own cross. A Eucharistic Procession belongs WITHIN the church building, within the church of believers, within the Temple of the Holy Spirit, which is also our own body. This public display is similar to a target held for shooters and totally disrespectful of Christ's Resurrection and Ascension. I'm ashamed that this is accepted and reverenced in the Roman Catholic Church in 2021. We live in a time of terrorism. The Body of our Lord should not be a target on display to non-believers. The Blessed Sacrament belongs in a holy state, in a church, protected by the Holy Spirit, cared for, and honored. It does NOT belong outside of a sanctuary, in my opinion. It's not a doll, or a flag, or a banner, or a musical instrument, or a trophy. Why this is seen as anything other than what a person with mental illness would do is way beyond me. It's an abomination to God, our living and loving Father, and displays a lack of respect for the Body of Christ, His Son, and disarms the Holy Spirit. It splits the Trinity into parts. It's inappropriate and unjustified theologically. I'm embarrassed by the ignorance of our Roman Catholic Church leaders to allow this sacrilege. Jesus Christ rose from the dead, and showed God's power over the cross. We should be so fortunate to understand what it means to say "May the Peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always." He rose from the dead, defeated the cross, and so should we. Think about it. It's when we are unable to grasp the meaning of the Resurrection that we do things like this. Shame on us! Shame on our focus! The Resurrection means more than the cross. Jesus came out of the tomb. When we do things like this, we look backwards in salvation history instead of forward as born again Christians witnessing to His presence among us.

You're entitled to your opinion but I disagree. Eucharistic processions have been done for hundreds of years. Also it is a public witness of our faith, physically bringing Jesus out into the world. We have no idea how the Blessed Sacrament touches those that see Him. But if they never seen Him, how can they be touched? The photographer in the story is a perfect example of how a Eucharistic Procession is good. Some years ago there was a large one in NYC and I'll never forget the report of a police officer being so moved by the procession and thanking the participants for "bringing peace." If you are worried about profaning of His Body, I have seen that far more often inside the church building than outside in a procession. Happy Easter my brother!

Do not hide your Lamp under a bushelbasket We must bring the Light of the World out into the world. Eucharist Processions have been a tradition in the Church for generations. As have Marian Processions. There is beauty in spreading our Catholic faith in this ever so hedonistic world.
