Yes, Mr. Lewis. I was a pastor who thought had no need of a pastor. I thought I was strong in the Lord, and had unshakeable faith. But her horrific and prolonged suffering blew me away. But the Lorrd sent me two pastor rinds, and they lovingly and patiently nursed my stricken soul back to health. It's so true what Paul teaches us. None of us lives to himself, and none of us dies to himself. Part of the shock is the realization that that part of your life is dying also.

Sickness is not a test, it is certainly not from God to test our faith". Sickness is a direct assault from Satan on the believer, and as believers we do best when we get rid off it from our bodies in the same way that we get rid off someone who has broken into our home. Neither sickness nor burglars have a right of residence! BECAUSE we are healed by Jesus' wounds, (see 1 Peter 2:24) we can command healing to come like Jesus did. It's a question of exercising our kingdom authority given us in. Jesus' name. That includes throwing out demons of sickness like Jesus did. I have taken healing for my body, commanded sickness to leave, and received healing for sicknesses that doctors could not heal me of, or even diagnose property. Jesus is Lord - and Healer of every sickness. It is time we as the whole body of Christ believed that. Thank you Jesus ❤❤❤

I read C.S. Lewis's book "A Grief Observed" after my husband died from cancer 9 years ago. It was one of several books about grieving the death of a spouse I read, mostly because the authors became like dear friends because I could see they knew from experience, exactly what I was feeling. I also wrote a lot of poetry at that time. I find while I have regularly journaled for many years, I only write poetry during the hardest times in my life. Not only does it help me through those times, but when I reread them years later it reminds me I can get through anything.

Faith? Blindly following a story that corresponds to the region on the globe and the age one has been born into? I guess there is something "noble" about it. But it could easily be Thor or Zeus or Caesar or Louis XIV or Mangubangu. No less noble. But really, it is a mix of stoicism, realism, philosophy, humanism. It is within us. Sometimes we need fictions to reinforce it. Ig that is ok. I prefer a humanist take. That unites us more (appropriate in these times of god wars)
