Looks absolutely delicious as usual Nana. You use MSG in every dish, I've never tried it before, does it actually make it taste better ? or simply because that's the traditional way of cooking it and that's the way you've always been doing it ? I'll buy some this week to test out and see the difference.
@CookingwithNana
9 жыл бұрын
navusx, yes, there is a bit of difference without MSG. I have always used it in my dishes because it's how my mother taught me. I think MSG has a really terrible taste on its own, unlike salt or sugar. So, you can really judge the taste without adding it to dishes.

Natalie Thao Tran the Sazon seasoning is found in general grocery stores, usually not in Asian markets. For the Lobo seasoning, you have to look where they sell Lao and Thai seasonings. Have you checked Lion and 99 Ranch? I can't remember if they have it there, though.

@CookingwithNana

Susi Susanti thank you for your concern, but that is only 1/2 teaspoon of MSG and 5 pounds of chicken. Also, I don't believe that MSG is any more harmful than regular salt. And, people have the option to leave it out when they make it themselves.

We as Lao people we been eating msg for a long time and for people who don't eat msg have more cancer than we do.
