Vettenuts.net was kind enough to provide an angle kit for my Corvette project. Instead of paying for the kit, I paid for plane tickets for Nick and Marco to come out and showcase their angle kit and play with my Corvette. They installed the kit along with some other items, and took the Corvette out to a test day and drifted it around for fun. Everything went amazing with the angle kit / cut knuckle kit and I couldn't be happier. I am blown away how simple and direct the whole setup is, and how it really doesn't have any obvious failure points or janky parts. I am also amazed at how the C5 and C6 platforms are so similar and the knuckles and everything interchanges that isn't appearance oriented. Basically a giant 240SX lego set!
Some quick notes, my front wheels are 18x8.5 + 30 with a 225/40R18
The rears are 18x9.5 + 35 with a 265/35R18
There is a 2 inch wheel spacer up front.
It should be noted that self steer is just like a Nissan S Chassis drift car, and that it is amazing. The turn in is great for the street and not scary or too fast. Grip in the rear is great and I have both sway bars currently hooked up but I do plan to remove the rear end link possibly to test it out.
