How to replace rear panel speakers?
@1Brain4Wheels

You know, I haven't needed to do that yet, bet I bet it's not too hard... you probably need to lift up the edge of the rear carpet and either pull up/release clips on those plastic side panels or maybe remove a few screws? Sorry I can't be of more help on this one.

Boy that's much easier than a 84

Oh, I bet the 84 was similar to the antenna setup on my 77 Cadillac, I got lucky and my dad surprised me by fixing that one 😁

Where did you get the Corvette antenna from?

I had forgot that Corvettes had an automatic antenna. I never kept one long enough to have trouble. You made it look so easy to replace. I did however have issues with my Cadillac's but they were in warranty so I didn't have to get involved. When the repair shop had the back off my C7 GS, hiding in there were two antennas about a foot and a half long on each side of the license I think they are proximity antenna for the auto lock/unlock feature. The radio/GPS antenna is inside the left front fender. I think any of these would be a lot more involved but they are hidden from damage. Who knows you might wind up with a C7 again. It's good to see your latest video and I'm sure it will help someone with a sick antenna.

Oh yeah, I was lucky to never have to take apart any of the C7's myself, now that would make me nervous! That's the one thing that's nice about somewhat older vehicles is that you feel a little more confident when prying bits apart and messing around with things haha Thankfully this job was pretty easy though...

Wow thanks! I would rather install the short stubby antenna - have you looked at that option? If not a will go with the original antenna. I have the mask like you but I am worried the plastic part is in there - we will see.

Hi Debra, if you want to go with the stubby antenna, there a few ways to go about it - the easiest would be to keep your current setup intact and then just buy this conversion (see below) which allows for the connection of the stubby antenna without having to remove and replace the antenna motor unit that’s mounted behind the rear bumper.
