You did a great job, I don’t trust any grease monkey on my cars! Only me and only me!

I'm thinking now it might just be the lower pan, which comes off easily without car disassembly. Because it has a bolt or two with stripped threads that still are holding, but that would be the obvious place for leaking. I took the car to the areas one and only corvette specialist to diagnose, after I got a full pressure wash. He gave me the elaborate estimate. I suppose I could check underneath if the upper area is wet too or not.

Good job - you got lucky on that broken bolt. My '04 has the same leak. Got a comment - it looks like your car has regular coolant in it (green). It should have Dex-Cool (orange) because of the aluminum radiator. Might want to check on that.

Thanks for the detailed video. Do you know how much time it took you? Are all your oil leaks gone? Thanks again?

It took me a lot longer because of videoing and breaking the bolt, about 3 days total. I haven’t seen any puddles where I park *but* I haven’t gotten up underneath the car to look around after getting everything back together.

Just stumbled on your videos, i don't have a leak but appreciate any great "how to" videos like your oil pan gasket install, hope it is still leak free.

Thank you!! It doesn’t leave oil puddles anymore after replacing the gasket. Looks like there’s VERY slight weeping coming from the rear main seal but that’ll get taken care of whenever I replace the clutch.

Nice job bro but there is no way I’m going to do all that crazy work! I took my car to some fabulous folks in Illinois over at speed inc... and they totally fixed my leaking oil pan for me for a good price! I love the C5

In the end, I’m glad I did it. It is a lot of work but I was able to learn the car and I saved a *boatload* of money. Having someone nearby to help would make all the difference in the world.

Great and awesome video by the way do you have the ARP number, and also more or less how far did you have to drop the crossmember, thanks

OMEGATECH ARP #134-6901. I don’t remember exactly how far I lowered the crossmember, but I’d say at least 2 inches below the studs or until there was tension on the brake lines
