You can also sip tie the yellow connector tightly together so it will never loosen up. Also you should have really disconnected the battery.👍

I did zip tie the connections. Agree I should have disconnected it but I took the chance. Really the risk is plugging it back in, the risk is very low but not zero.

This was a very helpful video. I have a 2006 Z06. It is a 1LT trim level. As such, it has a power driver's seat, but I don't believe there is an air bag in that seat, so I was unsure as to whether there was that yellow connector under the seat. I took a quick look under there and did see a yellow connector towards the back of the seat. I then moved my seat back and forth a bit with the electric controls, and sure enough, the air bag light went out. I plan to hold off on the repair until such time when I need to pull the seat for some other reason unless it gets to be too much of an annoyance. Thanks for posting the video.

Thanks for watching and letting me know you liked it! It's always good to hear I'm doing something that helps my fellow enthusiasts. Please let me know if there's anything else I can cover. These cars are essentially the same throughout the models.

Just replaced the seats in my 08 with seats out of an 05 last night due to mine being trashed from the previous owner. Everything worked great, but the pesky airbag light came on. Gonna give this a go and keep my fingers crossed. Thanks for the video.

I'm on my 2nd C6 and my light on this one just like my last one came on today. I never thought of using the grease. BTW Love the sound of your cam, mine sounds just like yours.

I always try to get the connections as workable as I can, adding the grease seemed to help mine. The sound if a cammed Chevy will always make me smile.😁

Do both seats when you do, also make sure the pressure sensors in the seat are lined up too.

While under the seat, would you recomend cleaning and greasing the other connections? The seat on my 2006 does not always move back or return to the set location once I get into or out of the car. The luckiest guys are probably the ones who don't have to move the seat. My seat has to move quite a bit due to my short inseam and I can see how the connections could be tested everytime I use the car. I asked how much it would cost to get the dealer to look at it for the airbag light and they wanted $135 per hour just to diagnose it. I was ready to get out the the electrical tape.

If you can grease the slides I would absolutely recommend. I'm not a tall guy either, my seat has to move every time I drive it. As for the diagnostic, I would recommend and independent body shop to see if they have a computer to reset or diagnose...almost always cheaper than a dealer and they can reset it as well. Thanks for watching and commenting, if you haven't already, please consider subscribing.😎

I have the Quickjack BL5000SLX, got it through Home Depot online and on sale for right around $1200 bucks. Great lift for those of us that don't have the space for a full sized lift. They make a 7000 as well that can handle SUV sized vehicles. Thanks so much for watching!

Which sensors are you talking about? Are you meaning the connectors under the seat? Behind the bumper? The air bag system colors "should" all be the yellow color wires/connectors.

It is a Quickjack BL5000SLX, I have a couple other videos of unboxing and setup as well as first time use. Awesome jack to have in your garage. I found mine on sale through Home Depot for under $1100.00 shipped (direct from Quickjack so it was probably a contract sale).
