I used this from Harbor Freight. I would assume your local auto parts store would have a 2 jaw puller in one of their sets. the ball joint tool and pickle forks did not work for. www.harborfreight.com/front-end-service-tool-set-5-piece-56807.html

Loved the video I was thinking about just replacing the lower control arm that comes with the ball joint and bushing already in my question is will I have to do anything to the lower arm once I install it other then put all the other stuff back on like the spindle and upper arm and tie Rod is there anything like having to align best I can on the lower arm? Before I take it in for a front alignment

Short Answer: if you mess with your suspsion you should get an alignment. When you mess with CA on these cars it can be simple or it can be a full tack car alrignment. I don't ger my car realigned when I take my tie-rod off but anything that mounts the steering to the car I do.

@@Jordan.Is.Novice thanks brotha yeah wasn’t sure if there anything else had to do other then re-torque the lower arms back on, but yes for sure alignment will be the next thing! If I have any other questions can I come back to you see what you think? Man you video was great you explain everything well thanks for that! For the upper ball joint I will take the spindle to a friend of mine that can pull it out , and press the new one in. Thanks bro 😎

Is no heat required when pressing the ball joints in/out? Typically with aluminum control arms this is best practice but maybe moog is different?

I’m always worried about putting heat to aluminum. These control arms are not cheap to replace. If you have proper sized cups to press and use an actual press it goes pretty well and not needed.

So does this mean you’ll be faster now?

I wish, but probably not. Maybe the extra confidence/peace of mind will make me faster.

For labor how much would a local shop charge for this?

If you take the parts off and take it to a shop I’d say 1 hour of labor to press out old and new ball joints in. If you drive to a shop I’d say 2-3 hours of labor for ball joints and tie rod. Will still need to get an alignment after. My alignment shop is like $125/hr. Labor in your area might be more/less.

Can I take VSCO pics in ur car so I can pretend I’m edgy?

I mean, that would assume you know where I am, which might be a bit creepy IRL. If you can prove you're not a murderer, maybe.
