The cabling is something we don't often see in a model railway so well done. You have amazing patience to create that. Nothing like a cab ride to show where improvements can be made.

I have not seen this type of cable management modeled before. The 3D printed cables are an older style which can be seen along the Tube railways but is now buried under this newer style I have depicted. Yes, cab rides are very revealing. They also show parts of a layout that were never intended to be seen. Thank you David, I very much appreciate that you watched and commented. .....Rob

Hi Stephen, cab rides can be so much fun. They always have a way of reminding me that I need to clean up this or fix that, etc. Thank you very much, I have enjoyed building it. Now what to do next. 🙂Rob

Hi Rob, the cabling looks fabulous and the cab was very impressive too, not sure if I'd seen a cab ride from you before. Susannah

Hi Susannah, thank you. Cab rides are a lot of fun. I used to do them every few months. It is true I haven’t done one for a while. The Run Cam I use is a little flukey at times. This time it worked fairly well. It does have a good picture. Thank you so much, Rob

Hi Kev, You like it, that is good, thank you. I have wondered since I started this project how it would look from the track's vantage point. cheers, Rob

Wow Rob, that cabling system is a work of art my friend, amazing! 👏👏👏. That cab ride was great too although you did get a bit close to the rear of the tube train at times! 😂. No collisions or accidents so all ok. I loved seeing the other trains running in the distance from the camera, that added a lot realism too. The class 70 seems to be running all ok, that was a good buy from GETS! Cheers. …………Graham

Hi Graham, When I started making the cable hanger system, it never occurred to me that it would all be in one piece when done. It was a bit challenging finding a space long enough to work on it while I was assembling the two ends onto it. I started making it in sections 14 inches long but once those first two were joined together and I was adding on to that... I did slam into the back of the tube train once while filming. No injuries to the Farlanders were reported. They are a hardy bunch and take these things in stride it seems. There was one spot where the container train was across the way and visible which was interesting. I do like the Cl 70. I am still looking for a Freightliner version of one. I see Olivias Trains will ship me a respray, used one, for an exorbitant price. Eventually, I may have to give in to that. I had some problems with the 70. I sent you a text explaining. I am pleased I went ahead and made the purchase at GETS. Perhaps we should do that again next year. cheers for now, Rob

Hi Dave, I do love a good cab ride. They are pretty close by. Could be something will topple over onto the train. Falling bodies?? Trees? ;-) Thank you so much, Rob

Rob, Note that the outside conductor rail isn't always on the left. It frequently changes sides and is about 50:50 left and right. In stations the outside conductor rail is almost always on the side furthest from the platform. The only exceptions are where there is a platform on either side of the train.

Thank you, Henry. I guess the photo I was using in the beginning showed them on one side. I actually do have one run on the other side. I just got into a rut drilling all the holes, lol. I’m sorry it is bothering you. Thanks again, Rob

It's a lovely layout but to a Londoner the landforms and geology is wrong - and stone walls are not a thing in London on the tube network (mainly yellow or dark brown brick).
