We used to live in Crynant which this line passes through not far from Onllwyn and as kids, we'd regularly walk this line. On several occasions, we'd meet a passing train and the most we'd get from the driver would be a toot on the horn and a wave. Very different times.

Lovely images. I drove up the valley to Onllwyn last year, its certainly off the beaten track up there

Shame these don't run anymore. I stayed at Lonewolf Campsite (which this route passes at 19:45) last September and couldn't resist a pic from the track at the foot crossing into the woodland from the campsite.

It's a real shame this is all that is left of the old Neath & Brecon Railway, once part of the Midland main line from Derby to Swansea.
