You need a hand wood planer. That sander doesn't take off much material. If it is a little tight use a 2 or 3 pound sledgehammer or make 1 out of a log.

@@georgeburke6336 thanks for the idea on the wooden sledge I’m not sure on y I didn’t think of it instead of my steel sledge hammer I do have a small wooden mallet that I use for a chisel I’ll be making one when I do I may make it a dead blow hammer with some sand in it and I’ll put a good cushion on so I don’t dent up the wood

On a wood planer you can set the depth of the blade for how much material you have to remove.

My little boy is 6 ft 2 inches, weighs 340 and is 42 years old. I'm too young to have a kid that old. That's right, I'm almost 70. Time gets away from you. My mother will be 101 in January.
