HI Marija, very interesting to see how resilient cactus are. And the time of year to set the plants up for success this year! Your new conservatory cat is beautiful!

The conservatory looks absolutely gorgeous, really ! It’s amazing to see the difference since your first videos about it. I think you have a very good feeling to arrange plants together and create a seductive space. The pieces of cacti you left with the babies are so cute ! And I noticed at the end a tephrocactus geometricus which I am looking for. I was in cacti shop yesterday in the center of Paris and I saw one with about 5 balls for 135 euros… 😩 So I pass my tour for this time and I bought a beautiful melocactus for 12 euros 🤗 🤣 Welcome to Marcel the cat which name sounds a little french and deliciously retro. I love it 😻 Thank you for this nice walk in the conservatory ! I love this place ! 🌵🌵🌵💚💚💚

Thank you! Now every week I come I take few moments to enjoy the sight and look at the beauty of the desert dome areas I created with Amanda. Geometricus is expensive here as well but I think not quite as much. Here two pieces were $40. I got from Jeff geometricus that has only one ball, but I’m hoping it will grow at least another one this summer. If I find it in Serbiia I can send you. I know it’s allowed to ship plants in Europe. Would you be ok with one ball or you are looking for bigger one?

Thank you Marija for the proposition ! In fact we plane with Dejan my husband to go for holidays to Serbia together this year at the end of September, and maybe to Makedonia and Greece after. So I already think to go for succulents and cacti there ! Dejan even suggest me to drive me to Novi Sad to visit your city. For the geometricus I am also waiting for the spring and the new cacti market fest. I would like to find one with two or three pieces. I am already saving money for this ! 😂 I am a very patient person so I can wait a long time until I will find the geometricus of my dreams 🤣 🌵🌵🌵💚💚💚

So many cuttings! Are the cuttings with the brown corking and white spots salvageable or just thrown out because of disease? Hope all have survived the recent severe cold snap in your area.

All the smaller better looking cuttings will be planted. The most damaged looking parts I will discard. However, if we had space sure they would root and grew new healthy babies. It is conservatory so I’m just trying to keep every area good looking. Some areas had damaged donated plants for a few years until we were able to get the new growth from them.

@@succulentlivingbymarija8872 You are doing a great job with those areas of the conservatory. Propagation is the most fun for me and I enjoy giving plants away once they get about 10" tall. Thank you for sharing your work with us.

Is the rose hill cactus the name of the place you got it,or the name of the cactus?

Road kill is the cactus name for that dark green opuntia that is not pokey and grows really fast. Place is Potawatomi Conservatory in South bend Indiana in USA

That’s like cutting your DONG off and it grows a new body.
