It's like eating greens, except it's a year round staple in some places, unlike seasonal greens, which come during the rain season. We go for the wild greens in the spring and change it up to not abhor it: beans and corn are delicious and nutritious, but can get boring when you only grow one type of crop, and everyone decided to grow the same thing because of $$. You'd be surprised what you crave when you eat the same thing all year round.🥱🙄

Cactus can be a delicious addition to breakfast dishes when prepared correctly. One popular breakfast option is cactus scrambled eggs, where diced cactus pads are sautéed with onions, tomatoes, and spices before being mixed with scrambled eggs. This dish can be served with tortillas and salsa for a tasty and satisfying breakfast. Additionally, cactus can be grilled and served as a side dish with breakfast items like eggs, bacon, and potatoes. Grilled cactus has a unique flavor and texture that pairs well with savory breakfast foods. Another delicious breakfast option featuring cactus is cactus smoothie bowls, where blended cactus pads are combined with fruits like berries, bananas, and mango for a refreshing and nutritious breakfast treat. Overall, cactus can be a versatile and tasty addition to breakfast dishes, bringing a unique flavor and texture to the meal.
