@Bobblesberg
2 жыл бұрын
@@redrum1938 it was good. Our plane was packed and a little tight but the flight wasn’t too long. The check-in is in E which is small but fine and has a few places to grab snacks. The flight down includes an adult beverage so that was nice. Have you gone at all? When you land, it’s in a tiny airport so you just walk out in one minute. There is an agent there who hands you your room key and info. Then onto charted vans to the hotel. While in line, for the elevators at the hotel, they have an open bar! As I said, the plane was packed, so it took a bit to get all those people up a few elevators! Room was great. People were super friendly. Pool is nice. I took half a day and drove over to New Orleans to get fried chicken and beignets which was added cool. I’ll go back when time allows, again.

We just did the Laughlin Rewards Air trip. It seems like they've really got it figured out in Biloxi. It was very disorganized in Laughlin. We got off the plane and waited nearly an hour for a bus, finally got to the hotel, had to search through piles of luggage for our bags, but we loved Laughlin and would do it again. Just wasn't all we were expecting as far as the staff and the crew running the plane

Thanks for sharing. As long as we check into the hotel, we can still plan other activities? For example, Harrah's Laughlin is 90 min away from Las Vegas. Once checked into Harrah's, we can still make separate hotel bookings in Vegas during our stay and make it back to Laughlin in time for return flight. Just a thought...

These trips are addictive. Once you start getting trips for $90 for 2ppl. Not sure if you did anymore trips or research but they have more trips than the few you mentioned. We have one booked out of Cleveland in July for Vegas. We paid $90 for 2ppl. And we are going back to Biloxi Sunday. We ahve done Laughlin (Bullhead) 5 times. You can book a tour company that picks you up in Laughlin and can go see the grand canyon, hoover dam, route 66 and oatman AZ. Places you can go on trips are Biloxi and Tunica Mississippi, Laughlin and Las Vegas NV. Atlantic City, Reno and Lake Tahoe.

I received an offer for airfare, 4 nights hotel and shuttle transfers to Beau Rivage in Biloxi for next month (specific dates only) - all for a total of $50 per person. (but they give you $50 of freeplay per person, so basically, a potentially free trip (or $100 total worst-case situation, if you lost all the freeplay) We went to Vegas in May and stayed at the MGM Grand. That was our first trip to Vegas in about 8 years. Since that trip, we have received weekly offers to go back to any MGM property in Vegas for 4 days comped. We had not accepted any but with this basically free trip, I think we may try to work our schedules out to do it. (I used to be a Harrah's exclusive player, and had always received comped rooms. food, etc. A couple of times they even comped the airfare to Vega.) Since our last trip was to the MGM, we tried to do most of our gambling at their properties so the rewards reflected decent play I guess, which generates the offers. However, according to the win/loss statement (which you can access on the MGM website), it showed we only had about $12k of action with a loss of about $2500 (Which the loss amount seems about right if I recall over the 4 day trip) - the total put in action of $12k seems way low though. (and I am surprised such a small amount can generate decent offers) I play $1 video poker mainly with a little slots and a few hours of the carnival games like Let It Ride and Mississippi Stud. I play about 400 hands per hour at video poker, so at $5 per spin, that is putting about $2k per hour in action. I think I probably had way more than 6 hours gambling on the last trip, so I thought that total in action number would be a lot more than that.... Perhaps they do not count the carnival games with an average bet of $10 per hand? If we go on this trip, I intend to keep track of the number of hours per day I gamble, along with the average bet, and see how the offers may change. (At least with better notes on my end, it may give a better idea of how much action is needed to get comped airfare.)

@@MakeItHappenWithDon Do like I did and retire early. it is very easy to do and only requires one thing.... You just have to be willing to be broke all the time - hahaha Seriously though, when I decided to retire, we practically liquidated our savings and paid off about $50k of debt. We only owe on the house still, which is not a factor due to the amount of the note. It is amazing how little money you need to live on, and how much you can save every month once that other 4-letter word is eliminated - DEBT - it is the biggest cancer in our country. Once I paid everything off, I told my wife if she got us back in to debt, then her next husband could pay it off, because I would be out! 🤣

@@MakeItHappenWithDon Do the Tahoe. Unlike the others, they fly you on a regular airline (Southwest) out of CLE with a change of planes in Vegas. They then pick you up in a limo/RV complete with a bar for the 30 minute trip up the mountain to Tahoe. The casinos in Tahoe are also much larger than Biloxi. My main issue with Gulf Coast is that Harrah's there is just so small and old (I mean older slots), it's put to shame by MGM's Beau Rivage, while in most places the Caesars and MGM properties are similar.

@@MakeItHappenWithDon The tight seats are why I've never taken a Caesars offer, I remember the old days of Funjet to Vegas and how they'd crimp 250 seats into a plane meant for 200 and being 6'4" and 250lbs I really don't want to do that again. I believe Reno/Tahoe is the only Caesars location that uses a normal airline. When I went there were only 6 or 8 people doing the Caesars trip on the flight. If you ever do it stay in Tahoe, it's much nicer than Reno and it's kind of cool walking 20 feet out the door of Harrah's and being in California.
