Here in Alexandria Louisiana there are two new country stations 100.3 KRRV FM and La 103.5 Fm la 103.5 has Louisiana Saturday night from 7 -12am on Saturday nights and this song is played. But this song is the most requested song on Solid Gold Sunday's with Alexndrias longest running legendary DJ Danny White on 100.3 Krrv. Needless to say it's a big hit in Louisiana

Back in the eighties I called one of the local radio stations in Denver Co. to ask where I could get a copy. They said to send them a blank cassette tape and they would make one for me, (which I did). The radio station then went on to say that the Cahoots were a local band based in Denver and they had a limited run of this song on their album, and that its no longer available.

This seems to be based on Kolchak: The Night Stalker episode The Spanish Moss Murders. There was a person called 'Paul Langois'. The bayou bogeyman (Peremalfait) had to be killed with a sharpened stick.
