It's not the fat that made him fat. There is no 'on going cholesterol problem' in the US, there IS a huge processed-carbohydrate-fried-in-processed-polyunsaturated-fat problem. In the US we eat less fat than most everyone in the world...and we are fatter than most of the world, while working more hours than most of the world. Fat doesn't make you fat, processed crap food does.

I'm here in the England and when I was a kid growing up in the 1970s, steak was something we might have once a year if we were lucky (and my parents were relatively well-off). Later, as a 17-year-old, I stayed with a family in Connecticut and they grilled some steaks one night. What blew my mind was that they put two extra steaks on the grill as 'spares'. As an English kid I just couldn't get my head around how somebody be so slapdash with something I considered the ultimate luxury. Although steak here is more affordable than it was in the 70s, it is still a bit of a luxury, but it is much more available (but the quality is nothing like as good as it is in the US because your grading system is better than ours).

Absolute truth. Most people dont realize that hamburgers generally have a higher fat content than even the wonderful ribeye. Steak definitely benifits from added fat. This is also the reason many people like hamburgers better than steak...they're experience is cheap(fatty) burger, delicious, and cheap(lean) steak, not delicious.

Love your channel & have entertained friends with your recipes BUT !!!!! YOU SHOULD NEVER EVER CLEAN A GRATE WITH A STEEL BRUSH !!!!!!!!! Your recipe in the description is off. I think 90 minutes is a bit much lol -"Once the grill is ready for action, both steaks hit the hot grill grates. You want the surface temp to be in the 550°F range for searing. Grill each steak for 90 minutes then rotate 90° to create perfect grill marks. Cook for another 90 minutes and flip each steak. Repeat the same cooking process on the back side for a perfectly cook medium rare ribeye. If you want your steak a little more done increase each time by 30 seconds and it’ll turn out medium. (Don’t cook a ribeye past medium, please!)"
