Cajun Shrimp and Sausage Pasta - 3 serving
Ingredients:
Italian Sausage - 2 links chopped into bite sized pieces
10-12 Large Shrimp - thawed and patted dry
Tonys creole seasoning - 2 tsp for shrimp
¾ Heavy Cream
½ White Wine
2 Sprigs of Thyme - (Chopped)
4-5 Basil Leaves - (Chopped)
2 Bay Leaves
2 Tbsp Avocado Oil
2 Tbsp Salted Butter
2 Limes juiced.
6 oz of linguine - (Uncooked)
Instructions:
Heat skillet to medium high and add 1 tbsp oil to pan and sear each side of shrimp for 1 minutes and then remove from heat. (Shrimp should have been seasoned with Tonys Creole seasoning. (MEDIUM HEAT)
Add in Sausage and cook until done and won’t hurt anyone and then deglaze pan with about 2-3 tablespoons of water and remove from heat.
At this time get your water turned on and to a boil and don’t forget to salt your pasta water and place pasta in water once the salt has dissolved.
Next add in butter into skillet and once its melted add the shallots and cook down for 3-4 minutes over medium low heat so the onions don’t burn and then add in minced garlic and cook for 2 minutes. Next up add in ¾ Tsp Chipotle Chili Powder, 2 bay leaves, juice of limes, white wine and cook down until most of wine has been cooked out. Then add in heavy cream bring to a boil and reduce to a low simmer until sauce starts to thicken and then now its time to add in cooked shrimp and sausage and add in cooked aldente pasta and toss in the sauce.
Now its time to plate and top with Parmesan and Fresh Basil.
