A cake for 200 crowns? Nothing unusual in some Prague cake shops. But there are still places where you can treat yourself to a decent dessert without breaking the family budget. And we will take you to these pastry shops in our series Live Prague.
Where in Prague can you get amazingly good laskonky, punch cakes, indians or wreaths at a reasonable price?
U Borůvky (Kyjevská, Prague 6)
Family business, smiling staff, great prices (for example, you can get a laskonka here for 24 crowns) and a rich selection. In addition, local desserts are made only from quality ingredients, you won't find any substitutes here. If you come here with your family, you will also appreciate the children's corner.
Charlie's Confectionery (Nuselská, Prague 4)
Between Nusle and Michle another gem is hiding. They have incredible delicacies and favorable prices, for example, you can buy a cognac top for 27 crowns. Right next to it is the popular Jezerka park, so you can combine a visit to the confectionery with a pleasant walk.
Kamel Confectionery (Francouzská, Prague 2)
A family pastry shop with a fifteen-year tradition, where everyone can go for a piece of luxurious cake. Here you will find not only great cakes made from honest ingredients, but also favorable prices. In addition, some desserts are huge, for example a raspberry slice for 74 crowns, which you can comfortably enjoy for two.
Confectionery u Michala (Podolská, Prague 4)
In this business overview Podolská waterwoks are cakes that will make your eyes water. You can see that they are made with love, and it is definitely a joy to choose. In addition, they have great prices - an amazing punch cake and a glass of white cost us 80 CZK.
St. Wenceslas Confectionery (Wenceslas Passage, Prague 2)
Another of the cake shops, which is in places where you probably wouldn't expect favorable prices. In the passage on Charles square you will find honest desserts and sandwiches that are hard to resist. And even if they make them all honestly, you definitely won't leave half your pay here!
So those were our tips for cheap pastry shops in Prague. Do you also have a favorite that you can never resist and where they are reasonably priced? Let us - and all honest dessert lovers - know in the comments!
