Well we already know he hasn't. & that it *is* hype. Look for yourself. Count the amount of times these two QB miss their targets & by how much kzitem.info/news/bejne/loCFl4SprqJ3koo. It's not even close. Caleb has been getting away with throwing off by miles even when not pressured because defenses gave up on plays & his misses were Pretty Spirals. Meanwhile Fields was So Efficient throwing passes so hard & low to have them land So Perfectly in the hands of his receivers only two are off _by inches_ so that they may have caused the receivers to get tackled immediately instead of gain YAC. If *anyone* had watched their highlights together they'd see he isn't even as good as Fields. So how can the worse one be generational & not the better one? It's _all_ hype. Someone said it then someone ran with it. If anything he's Justin Fields Lite with the same basic skill set as Fields only a weaker rusher & *far less accurate* arm. He's a downgrade. Fields can do everything he can And More.

@@bigkermit420 I simply enjoy the game at the play-calling level. Otherwise why even watch it? If people can't tell what's due to the play-calling, how do they know that an announcer crediting Andy Reid is correct? Children aged 5 can cheer on the home team. I like something a little less simple.

@ChewsCarefully I'm a diehard Bears fan & believe or I could debunk your entire argument.. I'm just weeks past debating w/ insane Fields fans, I'm refuse to do it again. The young man was severely inadequate, PLAIN & SIMPLE. It's impossible to compare the two, because Williams hasn't played NFL football yet. We'll know AFTER his first season is over. But going off accumulated football knowledge & history, I predict that he will be better than Justin, sorry.

11-6 That will more than likely be enough to get them into the Playoffs. I honestly believe that one of either the Packers or Lions will regress this Season. One of those two teams will have a sub-par season, miss the Playoffs, and that could be the spot the Bears take. Just my predictions. My opinions.

I definitely respect the effort put into analyzing my favorite team here. It’s pretty refreshing when people don’t just listen to narrative and actually do their due diligence. That’s not to say that we’re going to be everything we say we can be. But the potential in this team is sky high.

Poles signed Swift because he is a far better pass receiver out of the backfield than Khalil Herbert. He is also a lot faster than Roschon Johnson. Travis Homer is mostly a special teams guy.

Nice analysis! But I think O-line a bit better than you think; more in B, B- range. Also, Waldron isn't a fullback guy, Blasingame might be on bubble. Another national media person not that impressed with Sweat yet thinks that Hutchinson is over the top great. Compare 2023 stats; Sweat >= Hutchinson in EVERY defensive category. Frustrating!

7-10 you think that all we added won’t add any wins adding good rookie QBs usually add at least 2 wins even Trevor Lawrence was below average and added 2 or 3 wins as a rookie and we got substantially better as a roster I think if we don’t at the very least have a better record it would be a tragic failure and the coaching staffs last season.

This is the most ridiculous thing I ever heard. The difference between adding a couple wins when you were gosh darn awful and adding wins when you are in the proximity of .500 is extremely different. That's like saying these 12 wins teams got better so they'll be a 14 win team 🙄

@@Broshmo I’m just saying we got better, we got substantially better a lot of people are saying we had one of the best offseasons out of any team and I think it isn’t a lot to ask for improvement this coaching staff has done little to nothing to give confidence to the fan base. It doesn’t matter how many times you tell bear fans to temper their expectations the expectations are high and desirably so I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that the whole coaching staff will be fired and maybe even Ryan poles if we don’t at the bare minimum improve over last year. Tyson bagent could start all year and we should improve just based off the stacked roster we have. Also fun fact our offensive line actually ranked number two in run block win rate, number four in pass block win rate, and number four in total block win rate. According to advanced analytics, they were actually really good. It’s just hard when you lead the league in time until pass. We should be vastly improved this year with more than one wide out knowing what the word “Separation” is and fans shouldn’t expect anything less Caleb Williams would have to be a major bust to not be able to be better than this team last year and yes if a 12 win team managed to improve the amount the bears have this offseason improving upon the year prior would be the expectation there isn’t a fan base out there that has an offseason like this and is like “the same record as last year is about what I expect” no that’d be a very dull fan base I wouldn’t wanna be a part of
