Been struggling with depression and trying to get out of my funk but couldn't. Woke up early this morning thinking of a different Morrison song to jam to but found this. Smoked a J and something amazing happened ( as it always does with his music) : this time there was this small stirring within my soul that just spread all over my body and mind...and it was...JOY! I just kicked back, smiled and danced with joy i the kitchen this morning. Thank You Van

I’m still in a bit of confused shock about his new anti mask, anti vax, anti Jewish (I didn’t read it quite that harshly but I’m not condoning the message...I get “they who own the media” is anti Semitic trope) album. W. T. F. ???? At least we’ll always have the Bang Tapes
@JeffSchreiber99
3 жыл бұрын
@@antonvangrendel It is okay to be confused about what he’s singing about now. More than anything he is raising questions for his fans and listeners to examine. Van is a very enlightened awake person and he expresses it throughout his music. He is inviting you to look at the bigger picture and ask why everything we see going on is happening. Through your love of his music you stumbled upon his wisdom as well as his discernment, both of which are sorely lacking everywhere. As we start to go deeper in both, we start to grow and understand ourselves and our world better. BTW - Van isn’t anti-Semitic one bit. He has many Jewish friends including Bob Dylan. He may have made a statement about the apartheid in Palestine - it’s actually sad that so few celebrities have spoken out this terrible tragedy. Roger Waters is another famous musician who’s been smeared as anti Semitic which again is nonsense. I’m Jewish my myself and am appalled by what Israel is doing to human beings who have a legitimate grievance. But it’s their government along with others who are the criminals, not all Israeli people and certainly not all Jews worldwide.n

Van Morrison. Right from the beginning,Van never let anyone dictate what his music should be, no matter who they were and alot tried. He ruffled alot of feathers, but so what. That's what happens when a genius won't conform. I thank him for that, because I have been listening to him for over 50yrs and his music has always , right up to today, at his age of 74/75 been original. This incredible musical jam is an example of his uncompromising musical creativity and we are the lucky benefactors of it, because we get to listen.Love the man and his music and thank him for all the awesome music he has shared with us.Thx. so much for posting this incredible piece of Van's music. This randomly came up on my KZitem playlist. I can’t believe I have never heard this song before. Worked on home projects all day and then sat down on my back patio to chill out and then song came on. Perfect song to relax too. Like almost everyone else who has commented, I am also amazed at how soothing this song is. I figured I would throw my 2 cents in 🧐

This is the best song I have ever listened to on KZitem. I'm left speechless and dumbfounded at the same time at the groovy nature of the beat with the accompanying hypnotic melodies and occasional outbursts of faint vocals. This is the bomb. It's a potpourri of every musical genre. You've got a little bit of soul, blues, jazz and country all infused into this song of joy and happiness. Caledonia Soul Music, that's what it's called. I've played it over three times and I can't seem to get enough of it.

Always been a fan of Van, but I found this song about 2 years ago by accident, it just came on while I was trolling KZitem. Makes me think of my dad who passed away from cancer 8 years ago. My dad taught me to love good music of all genres. He would listen to music & hear all the different instruments within the song & point them out to me. Listening to this song my dad would have loved it!!! So many sounds within the song & yet it all comes together perfectly! I love how Van left it as though they all just gathered around, picked up their instruments & just jammed, leaving all its perfection & subtle imperfections, which make it that much more enjoyable. Brings tears of joy to my eyes as I reminisce about my dad & his love for music. Already told my family I want this song playing in the background during my funeral services 😂. Love It….
