@Po'Jo The Backpacker Great Vlogs...FYI...it is Ackee where the "a" is like the word "Actor" otherwise if you try to speak like us with your American English in your head it sounds like "okee" The name of the place is pronounced Papeen - it is how you pronounce Papine. Again we speak British "influenced" English. You speak American English any language - French, Spanish, etc. you do not change the pronunciation of People, Places and Things. What does a Jamaican look like? If you saw me, or my other relatives unless I tell you even those living in Jamaica to a foreigner with very limited knowledge would not say Jamaican. We are multi-culture AND multi-ethnic- from Tiano, to Spanish, East Indian to Scottish, Lebanese to German, Syrian to British, Irish to Chinese - National Motto: Out of Many, One People. FYI...you and even Jess are some of the everyday Jamaicans of my day (reside in USA over 40 years) ....since then, more mixing. 85% of the African "looking" or Black --using US Social Construct used to uphold segregation after the Civil War - are MIXED. DNA doesn't lie, know the history of the people and the reason the Motto is so important. FYI...Bob Marley is "possibly" half white, his mother presented as Black; however, because we hold Africa in such high esteem, she could have been mixed as well.

@PoJoTheBackPacker The waters were a bit rough and was not good for swimming. Most Jamaicans go on the weekends but I know that you like it by yourself 😊. The KZitemr Coco Girl was living on the beach there for a while back which I think was a bit brave of her.
