Man I enjoy your videos. You're a great steward of your cattle. I keep waiting for, "Kevin!". Just like the lady in Home Alone.

Trying to learn so this question is not meant to be a criticism... Why have calving during this type of weather instead of waiting for warmer weather?
@AlbertaRanch
2 жыл бұрын
My calving start date is April 15, so I am aiming for warmer weather. However in Alberta we can have snow well into May. To completely avoid snow and cold I would have to calve in June and July which would mean calving on full quarters of grass where i cannot easily assist if necessary. July would then run calving into haying. It's a good question and one that i have thought about quite a bit.

That was a decent blast of snow but it’s melting fast. We can use the extra moisture the mud I can do without. Herd is looking good. Have a good one.You have a Kevin and I have a Kong.

Мы телим с середины апреля до конца мая. Старайтесь избегать холодной погоды. Мы кормим телят в течение 100 дней после отъема, а затем продаем их на откормочную площадку.
