And those are just the mines which are documented. Tap gently on Cornwall, it's hollow

Love your work pal in showing the epic effort taken to get these resources out! Epic work in creating the maps no doubt! Sadly I cant get Cornish tin pure enough for my work, nor currently at a feasible price even if it were refined enough. Maybe one day I'm always hoping & hoping they open up the mines again.

South Crofty will be re-opening within a couple of years, they're pumping it out right now

Amazing thing !! I am curious how powerful hardware you have to play with it ;) Second, if South Crofty is hydrologically connected to other infrastructure, pumping this water out will take some time ...

Mainly copper and then tin. Cornwall was the world’s leading producer of both in the 18th & 19th centuries until more easily accessible sources appeared elsewhere in the world. Some areas of mineralisation in Cornwall also made the extraction of lead, silver, zinc and wolfram worthwhile and in later years the production of arsenic was also worthwhile. Many ore deposits still remain underground and there is a plan to extract lithium from the water that has flooded most of the old workings beginning at South Crofty.

@@schwadevivre4158 Yes, I forgot about them. That’d be South Terras for uranium I’d guess. Now a SSSI and a fair amount of elevated surface radioactive readings to be found there if memory serves. The only noteworthy cobalt mineralisation apart from an 18th century mine in the Gwennap area (that also had bismuth) is around the Porthtowan area isn’t it?

@@davidpope3943 I heard about it in relation to Dolcoath. Just found this interesting PDF on the subject " COBALT MINERALISATION IN CORNWALL Rollinson, G.K., Le Boutillier, N. and Selly, R. 2018 ussher.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/journal/2017/Rollinson-176-187.pdf

Probably more tin left than has been mined but in many places low grade or not economic to mine. If your interested in potential sites have a look at "Cornwall future mines"
