Camden was once a major manufacturing city. At its highest point there were 50,000 manufacturing jobs in Camden. Today there are almost none. The city's population peaked in 1950 at 125,000. Today the there are about 70,000 people in the city and the population drops every year. Camden is the Jersey version of Detroit.

Actually the worst looking places in EU aren't that dangerous. You have some gypsy villages that look like a favela but it's not that dangerous. The hoods people mostly talk about in places like Fance, UK or Sweden look much better and the crime rate is way lower than american hoods. It's a totally different vibe in Europe though. People in the hood aren't always that easy to talk to. Less social awarness and the cultures are more strict which makes it feel more tensed sometimes.
