This is absolutely wonderful, being at film school this contains more than what we've gone over in the first 4 weeks of directing class. Of course we're learning everything in order and in detail more, but this is such an amazing detailed analysis of shot composition. What a great channel!

I can't imagine how the subject on Cinematography had been taught before without using VIDEOS. It is just too amazing that the few minutes of lessons could bring about so much learning and comprehension about the topic with the USE OF VISUAL AIDS. One can clearly distinguish the difference. The more I appreciate the use of videos for BETTER COMPREHENSION of any topic under discussion.

Can a native english speaker or somebody else please explain to me what does dirty mean in that context? Because i only know the physical and sexual meanings and i don't feel any of those apply... Edit: talking about the parasite shots analysis with the clean and dirty O.T.S single shot two shot and so on

It means they are not "pure/absolute" single shots: you can see parts of another character so they are "contaminated". Hope that helps.

Many examples of the POV in this video are actually Subjective shots, which are different in how they're done and their intent & result. A POV is simply from a character's position. Subjective shots are about the camera being the character's "eyes."
