One of the best episodes from Grey's ever. It broke my heart but I'm glad they tackled such an important topic. Consent should be something that is taught in sex ed across all schools in the world.
@susiemckeon1914

i loved how they intertwined bailey/ben/tucker's storyline with consent into the storyline as well. almost like telling the next generation about consent and safe sex so that problems are solved before they even arise.

It should be taught in the home! I have 3 sons and their entire lives I've told them NO MEANS NO!!!!!!!!
@warriorbard

@@lisashook4290 Unfortunately, not every child has this kind of open, supportive upbringing. Not always due to ignorance or neglect but sometimes because of culture where talking about sex etc. is just too much of a taboo subject. I myself did not grow up in a sex positive household and while not explicitly said, it was just an unwritten rule that if I needed consults on such matters, only school could help. So thank you, Lisa, for raising your sons right.
@lisashook4290

Neither did I. Probably part of the reason I was raped. But I empowered myself to teach my children that no means no. Having a poor role model as a child is no excuse in his day and age. Boys need to be taught to be especially and girls need to be taught to be more aware of their environment. I'm 54 and I'm woke, are you?

This is why representation of both genders and all races/ethnicities is so important in healthcare. Patient comfort should always come first, and in this episode it was so important that this patient had an all female healthcare team. 50 years ago, it would have been hard to find that many women in the hospital to line the hallways. Amazing episode and sending a huge virtual hug to all the survivors who watched this episode. May you continue on the road to healing.
@emilywestlund4527

Daniela Schmidt I was thinking that as well. In the past it would’ve been hard for her to have an all female team and it’s so great that though we are a far way off from equality, steps are being made.

All the actors in these emotional scenes did such a phenomenal job making such a horrible topic become such a beautifully open act of sisterhood and love and strength. I was bawling through most of it. Especially this scene in the hallway, and the rape kit scene. The acting in these important moments was just beyond incredible, I was an emotional wreck from start to finish. Well done Grey's Anatomy!! Do they give awards for single episodes? There are still people who dont understand rape and why it happens and how it effects you in the long run. I liked this episode because it showed women supporting women to make them comfortable. Rape kits should be discussed more and the process. There are a lot of women that are ashamed and even hate the rape kits because feel like getting violated again. It should be a tool of comfort and justice for women. Patients of rape should never be left in the room by themselves while waiting for the person who performs them. It sets a mood of depression and then sometimes even backing out of having one done.
