Congrats on the new upgrades with the GoPro 8 and the drone. The video from your helmet and audio from the mic inside were perfect... don't change those. Super clear to watch during the ride and the narration was easy and clear to listen to the whole way along. The drone is a nice addition to capture scenic viewpoints. Hi Maritimer. Very nice video 👍. The quality is good when ride, but the GoPro seems to have a problem when you do selfie video. Might be the way the focus is set. I had to laugh about the gas gauge. Yamaha and Cfmoto must shop at the same crappy supplier. I have a 18 litre tank and the bike uses about one litre let 100 I'm, yet it starts flashing empty at 100 km. PS, the drone shots are awesome. Really adds to the video.

Another great video man. Nice trails in NS as well. I have a drone as well and a few tips I can pass that I learned, if interested, is to slow down your YAW and tweak your gimbal speeds. What I mean by YAW if you are not familiar is how fast the drone will rotate/pivot/turn left and right. I make mine very slow, 0.2 or less EXP, and the end result is a much smoother, more cinematic, video. We have all seen the hand held GoPro vids that make you dizzy when watching them, we want to avoid that. Added to that is the Gimbal tweaks. Tweak the Gimbal Pitch EXP to a lower number, maybe 10-15. Thats the speed at which it tilts up and down. Not sure on the mini, but the pro also has Pitch Smoothness. Dial that back as well and what that does and adjust how fast the gimbal stops when you release the dial. Kinda like the steady shot part of the GoPro but it's mechanical. If you tilt up to reach the horizon, release the dial just prior to what you want and the gimbal with automatically scale down the rate until it stops in a smooth fashion. This helped me a lot. Nothing worst that zooming down a road or lake and see the drone yawing left and right nonstop which makes for a very choppy vid. Slow the rate and also ease on and off the controls in yaw mode and your viewers will thank you. Not suggesting yours was bad, it's just stuff that I learned as I went and I wanted to share in case you were not aware of these adjustments yet. As I see you are quite aware of the viewers perspective when you mount the GoPro to your helmet for a steady vid, try the same with the drone which is much easier. Hard to not look left and right when riding as we all like to see whats around every corner... LOL. Great work man, keep em coming. Oh, the tilt up to 30 degrees, (Mavic Pro Anyway) is always a cool setting. Not sure if yours does? Need to get that thing down to Walton Glen for a look at the falls and overlook. Take care.

Q-tip of the day: If you can manage to keep your camera level on those steep grades, it will show the steepness of the hill a bit better. WOW, that bridge at 13:00 was high. Not much chance of it getting washed out by flood water eh - lol BEAUTY area at 22:00! How does your bro with the Wildcat like his Swamp Lites? Someone has over logged that country ? I see 👀 lots of timberland. But, look how skinny the trees are....If I was people around there , I'd stop logging for at least 50 years and build fire breaks and plant fruit trees and more blueberries 🫐 fields and a dozen lakes scattered around for the wildlife and used to put out forest fires 🔥 and your videos are always great 👍 and Wendel.

The drone ups your game for sure. I see more views and hopefully more likes and subscribers. If you really want to help pointing out locations your Polaris app will track and waypoint your rides. Your call. Thanks again. I really look forward to these with whiskey and water. I’m watching on 65inch TV. Picture quality is good. No complaints. I was out for a run last Saturday. Perfect weather.

Hey Gary, thanks a lot man, glad you liked the new drone and stuff ! Maybe I'll look into that track my ride thing, I don't know if that will use more data or battery life on my phone... it's always a battle with battery life when i'm out there haha
@garybrown9062

Maritimer Your tracking with the app is gps. I know the battle with battery life is real. I always carry either a power pack or plug into my Ranger a lot. You can always shut off your data if that’s a concern. Picture quality at 2.7 is really good. Even with my large screen I find HD and 4K very little difference. The camera has a steadier quality for sure. The drone video is sweet. It will grow your channel. Soon you won’t be able to answer everyone lol. The price of success I suppose. Hope the wife and daughter are doing well.
@Maritimer
4 жыл бұрын
yeah I might try to track it on my next trip just to see if it works good. I used to work for one of the two big TV/Internet providers in Canada (Bell) and Most HD channels are in 720p some stuff on Neflix and some sports is filmed in 1080p, it's really hard to tell the difference between the two. I always found 4K to be noticeably better but never so much better that I would pay for it. (just my opinion) I think the colours on the new gopro are better, the greens and blues are very vibrant. plus the image stability is great. the wife and kiddo is doing great ! going to go to the camp this weekend.
