I do like the transitions here a lot. I really wanted to like this lens but for travel, it was pretty large so I stuck with my Sony 20 mm 1.8 and Sony 16-35 PZ

Those are awesome lenses! The video wasn't to promote this lens individually but to show how you could really use and extend the use of any of your lenses! I just picked the widest lens possible to exaggerate the effect! I personally would carry a 35mm and do this!

Dope video - I've been thinking about the same thing with vintage lenses. There's a ton of cheap good vintage primes out there but harder to find quality vintage zooms. Even without any AI post processing, using a 25mm as like a 25-50 with clear image zoom is pretty sweet

Thanks man! Clear image zoom is actually such an under utilized feature specifically for video! Glad you like the content!

Interesting experiment. The problem could be if you have 300 photos that you have to manually correct like this, it is a load of post production work. If the software was built into the camera and you would change settings: mounted lens 25mm, shoot like 85mm, than wow, yes, that could have potentially massive impact. Still, glass is a glass. With the new RF 24-105mm 2.8, real pictures straight out of the camera. :) oh yeah..btw..I love the transition.Really cool :)

Thanks!! I mean if you can afford the glass and wanted to carry that chonker then 100% 🤣 On the other hand if you're carrying around a Leica Q3 or any other fixed lens camera these are great tools!

@@CongThanhContent definitely! With fixed wider lens it’s a great option.

I think the perfect balance would be fixed 35mm, then do this to get telephoto images, then create 3-5 image panoramas for the wider end. Both would require a bit of post but overall I think I would have the funnest lightweight shooting experience

This is great man! I already own multiple GM lenses, so I´ll probably hold on to those, but it´s really cool to see what you´re able to do with a few additional tools! I´ve found the lens blur feature in LR to be a bit challenging when working with areas in the image that is in contrast to eachother, because there will sometimes be a "halo" between the contrasting parts. If you have the same ish kind of light or background throughout the image it´s great, though! Your engagement and enthusiasm is great and was definitively the biggest reason for me to stick around to the end! Keep it up, man! Cheers from Norway!

Thanks man! This can really be done with any lens tbh! I just choose the widest I could find to prove the point in the video! Happy shooting 📸

I agree with your premise. Realistically, starting from 20mm or using the 20-40 tamron zoom to do everything.
@CongThanhContent

Yes! I just used 16mm to prove the point, but the 20-40 2.8 Tamron is an excellent choice for this method aswell! Super compact with very little compromise beside the focal range and even then I don't think it's that limiting

Thanks. What's an affordable full frame body do you recommend for this with the purpose of making talking head videos ?? I have a Canon Rebel 3 (cropped frame).

If your wanting video I personally would looking into getting into mirrorless! Video has improved so much in the last few years. A used a7sii could picked for under 1k nowadays. An a7iii is also a great option, its plenty of camera for most! And can be picked up for under 2k most of the time or even cheaper used! Or if your looking for something more future proof the a7iv is definitely the best value for everything now. Rebel t3 is a pretty old body and most Canon DSLR werent really exceptional for video. So I would recommend switching into Sony or new mirrorless Canon. However mirrorless Canon is pretty expensive and hasn't been around as Sony so they don't have as many used or cheap options
