Is it possible for us - two amateur DIYers - to paint our narrowboat and get a finish that's ALMOST as good as professional would achieve? We know it's a BIG challenge as the pro's paint in heated paint shops, that are dust free and they have all the tools and equipment they need - not to mention YEARS of training and experience!
However we are setting ourselves the challenge of painting the side of boat, outside with limited tools and a severe lack of experience - yet we want get the finish as close to 'perfect' as possible.
In this first episode we get stuck in by removing windows, the number plate and navigation lights before sanding the boat and giving it a coat of rust treatment. We also look at the steps we will need to take and discuss the items needed.
So please join us as we 'try to paint like a pro'.
