Great video....The prep you did made it much easier. Trimming the plastic around the cover. Smart idea, avoid removing the foot well. Thanks for another great tip.

Great video. Definitely appreciated. I’ll be cutting the lip off my floorboard. I pull heavy loads and always wondered how hard it would be to change a belt. Now I know what to take with me. Thanks. Watch all your vids.

Depends how you have it setup...very easy the way I have it now, although I've never had to change a belt on the trail, I know I can do it easily! Thanks for commenting and watching!

You made it same real easy, I was kinda skeptical about doing it my self but the vid goes in to detail. Great video!!! I rather do it my self instead of taking to the delar- they want to charge an arm and a leg. Thanks for the vid 👍

Just did that on my bike before this weekends ride. Did not make a video. My bolt was a little shorter and i struggled a bit. Going to buy one that's longer and leave that as part of the tools. Great video Rob.

How’s the CV tech, got a dalton kit with secondary. Is it super noticeable and worth it to get a full clutch? Only time I’ve smoked the belt is In super super sticky mud. How are the outlaws holding up? You still liking them?
@RobFarrowATV
6 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't say it's super noticeable from the Dalton but no more smoked belts so far and it's a smoother take off than the Dalton! in the long run I'd say it's worth the extra money. The Outlaws have been good except they've come off the bead 3 times this summer...never had the Silverbacks do that! They crawl outta mud holes better than the silverbacks and are a smoother trail ride than the backs! I'm itching to try something different though and get some Beadlock rims! Thanks for tuning in Man!

Could you use the impact driver to open the clutch?
@RobFarrowATV
3 жыл бұрын
You can use a small impact driver to remove the bolts but not to put them back on. They are a shoulder type bolt and require care tightening them up...they just snug up once they hit the shoulder, no torqueing required.

Seems to, don't feel the heat on my leg as much it seems! I mainly took them off along with all the front wheel well ones, so that I can see what's going on and clean it easier...haven't had an issue yet with them not there! Gonna take the heat shield off this winter and wrap the header pipe also. Thanks for watching!

I have had my cover off several times to blow the dust out of the cluth and change my belt. I have never ever had to removed the footwell plastics or anything else and no modifications although it is tight and you have to jiggle the cover around quite a bit to get it off but it is doable. I may cut the lip off mine sometime in the future.

Trimming helps if you have a ton of mud packed in there and have to change a belt...and anything that makes the job easier on the trail is welcomed! LOL! Thanks for watching Mikey!
