Ive seen guys that can Rip with Rear motor cars, ther was a guy the would set his car up with all rear traction and ald almost no steering und power, he would start steering his car comming into a corner and it would stiil keep going straight until he let off the power and when he let off it would turn it worked perfect with his driving style, he would absolutely fly through the straights sometimes with a frot tire off the ground, and go slow and steady on the inside of every corner and never crash!

The b4 has an excellent transmission. Very free. Run all your electrics in the center, shorty pack in front of those. Raise your front inside ball studs 1mm or more, for better on power steering, move your rear hubs back, play with running 2.5degs toe out. Run a touch of weight near the steering rack. That's what I did.

I honestly don't understand the amazement people have over a rear motor platform working. That's all we had for years. They work in all situations, if you know what you're doing. We had a guy 3 weeks ago run consistent 29sec laps that is typically a 30-31sec lap track with a rear motor car.

A buddy ran his 22 2.0 rear motor car and it did well on med/low grip. On carpet is where it seemed to lack steering. Would be interesting to see a rear motor car properly setup for carpet vs mid motor cars. Nice driving in the main. The rear end looked really loose

Only issue I’ve been having with my B4.1WC is parts; I managed to snap a shock shaft inside the eyelet on one of the front shocks and have called up about a dozen hobby shops trying to find a replacement. I also have to say that it helps if you’re a great driver (I have never had a run as good as that second qualifier). Very cool, thanks for sharing!
@JeffEmbracedDC

You said it was pushing in the main but that must have only been on entering corners - because on exiting it was oversteering on quite a few occasions. Not sure what your setup is but consider adjusting Ackerman for a more aggressive turn-in... and maybe adjust your rear links for correct camber gain and a slightly lower roll center. I'm not a setup master but I would definitely try those out one at a time to see if you can get your lap times more consistent.
@RCAlley

On entry it was pushy and on exit it would oversteer not from the rear but front end would hook. It was a droop issue. As of now the car is as dialed as ever

You mean B2 or B3?. B4 did not come out till 2003. I have the B3 Team edition, still a fun car to drive. I just ripped out all the old electronics and dropped in HW1060 SC for running an old core 27T brushed motor. Trying to decide on a good radio to get. I have a bunch of old cheap radios, but I should modernize. I also have a B4 factory team, a B4RS RTR, and ton of retro Tamiya cars. Need to get myself an old RC10 goldpan car still..
