Lakers just need to focus on playing good defense and get high percentage shots. With AD, they need to get him involved in more screen/Roll as well as cuts and dives. He needs Move to get the ball. He’s much more dangerous when he makes his move quickly. He’s not a back to the basket player. When he does post up, he usually waits for the double team to pass out of and then the offense gets stagnant.

Watching AD in the IST Finals was amazing! I don’t think AD is necessarily inconsistent because he’s the anchor for the defense and he does an insane job with that. If AD is having a rough year shooting, stop shooting. Obviously attacking the paint & playing hard D still works. People forget 100 years of basketball history & just lose their minds with these 3s. How can the lakers win the chip when they need to play 16 games to win the chip and let me tell you something I’m a lakers fan but there is no way AD is playing at elite level for 8 games 8 games he has no chance to last that long. By the time lakers made it to the Nuggets he was dead he looked gassed he looked slow he looked old and he got out worked out paced out sprinted and out smarted by Jokic. Nothing to do with basketball just physical attributes and fuel tank he ain’t making it to the finals. You make it to the finals if you lucky but he is so inconsistent that if you wanna win the chip against Jokic Giannis Embid he would need to be consistently dominant for lakers to win. The only way lakers make the finals beat Nuggets and Bucks or Celtics in finals is pull be a whole team effort like it was in the bubble with Javal Dwight helping AD and Caruso KCP and Kuz playing defence and Rondo and Morris playing vet ball and it worked together as a team. Lakers relying on Lebron and AD have no chance to win unless it’s a team effort. A team effort designed with defence with length size speed and defence mentality as a team that’s it.

If the Lakers were to trade, they should get another BIG MAN who can rebound, protect rim, decent scorer, and has a good finish at the rim. I know they got Wood and Hayes, but they if they want to beat the Nuggets, Sixers, or Bucks…they need someone who can help AD bother/contain Giannis, Jokic, and Embiid. That’s what they need right now, I’m not too worried with the shooting tbh. For the most part of this season, they had an 8 man rotation. Which was good for guys like Reddish and Christie. But now Vando and Rui came back and hopefully Vincent is coming back to give them that extra shooting as well. As you guys mentioned, AR seems to be getting out of his slump and DLo can go crazy any given night and even then he has been working on his defense too and has improved! I think they’ll manage to find that good balance of defense and offense. It’s just getting the team 100% healthy and players finding their rhythm again. We saw what they can do even when it’s not their best shooting night and still won games.

The lakers_ -score 3 more pts combined in ftm + 3ptm combined than opponents. -They shoot 2s better than their opponents. -They also get more stls+blks combined & foul less. I wud focus on getting another serviceble big to rotate with Jackson Hayes, to keep AD at the 4, unless the situational advantage needs him at the 5 spot. Thats y the jokics, embiids, gianniss, sabonis as well as ordinary bigs like zubacs, sengun, etc of the league always seem to have outstanding games vs lakers. They have 4gotten what big rotation got them a chip, with good perimeter defenders. Vanderbilt (wing/perimeter) Reddish (wing) AD (weakside lurking) Hayes+another big taking on the leagues bigs with 12 fouls, whilst AD always roaming for weak side blks, rather than having ad play jokic giannis embiid str8 up and giving up unnecessary fouls. Better to have him fresh & healthy, than beaten down tryna prove he can guard jokic without foul trouble and still put up efficient numbers to help the team. The laker brain trust is xtremely weak & seem more focused in filling seats, than putting 2gedda a roster that will actually win chips. The shooting narrative is overblown and the numbers are right there. Of the 683 3-pointers the Lakers attempted this season, 45 of the attempts are from Vando, Vincent, Hayes, Alex Fudge, Jalen-Hood Schifino, D'Moi Hodge, and Maxwell Lewis. As any Laker fan knows, 5 of those 7 guys don't play and Hayes + Vando's 3's (0-8 combined) are not indicative of their game with Hayes taking 3's during garbage time and Vando only taking an occasional 3. Vincent shot HORRIFICALLY (1-14) and has been hurt since. When he comes back, you could expect that to level off. Adding this up, 5 out of 45 is 11%. If you add the 9 Lakers who have played more games + minutes along with taking the bulk of the 3-pointers, their average would be .358 or 36% from the 3-point line. That would line up with Houston, Chicago, Boston and Denver (all around 36.2 - 36.4%) and would put the Lakers as low as 19th in 3pt%. The Lakers would only be decimals of a percentage point away from being an average shooting team as opposed to the 27th ranked 3pt%.

JJ, Embiid is a massive flopper. Yes he's probably the best foul merchant right now and yes that impacts his team positively, but it is the single most annoying play there is in basketball. Also, everybody is used to his style now and know that when the whistle gets tougher in the playoffs he still hasn't figure out how to adapt his game. Also, what noise about the playoffs? He dropped 15 pts in Game 7!! Cut the bias bro, nobody is saying he's trash, but he's definitely not underrated.

As a Pistons fan... I got nothing but bad things to say about the team. We are awful. Cade has thrown games away in the 4th quarter so many times. He doesn't look like the guy. Ivey is a cone. Ausar can't shoot a ball into a swimming pool. Stew is undersized for his role guarding bigs and too sluggish to guard wings. Duren is far too green to start for an NBA team. This is our young core and I haven't even mentioned how these guys together do not fit at all for a young core going into the future. We've been in this rebuild for so long while yielding no upward trajectory. I hope LCA is as empty and quiet as possible until big changes are made. I hope Gores sells the team.
