big up to martyn , i know it has been a while and such, but not beeing able to do what you love while seeing others having the joy of learnig it would crush me the bit where he rode against the stone was meant to be comedic but the facial expression and the implication broke my heart MAD RESPECT for the legend that he still is even though the younguns don't really know anymore how big his influence in this space was PS> i LOVE hank in the gmbn videos!

How about a follow you to Rich's video with Manon and Conor. See who can learn trials quicker someone with a low centre of gravity (Manon). Or high centre of gravity (Conor). I also like when Hank said riding over the rock would mean further to fall. Martyn said "what could happen?"

There is no denying it any longer. First he lost the lycra but stuck to the roadie helmet , then he lost the roadie helmet aswell , then he rode the Mega Avalanche . Now he is doing trials....Next step is checking his legs for any hair. If he really has stopped shaving them, he has officially finished his long journey to the light side of cycling force. Meet GMBNs new presenter !

Trials basics are the FOUNDATION of actual mtb riding. The BEST enduro/hard enduro riders come from Trials. Having the basics of trials skills allows for better bike control on trails. Better adaptation and the understanding of body-bike separation.

I am of the belief there is getting down a trail, and there is 'riding' a trail. People say I rode this black trail, that jump line.... But what they mean is the got down it, avoided all obstacles, walked when needed etc. That to me isn't riding a trail. Unless I clear nearly every feature perfectly, smoothly, and clear every jump, then I haven't actually ridden the trail. Clean it, 95% perfectly, or you ain't ridden it. 😁
