bill williams Hi well in this video you can see the the tool I’m using and think 🤔 I especially give you how too set up the Snap On Verus Oscilloscope and it shows in the video for more easy access to the DLC diagnostic connector I used a OBDII break out box made by aeswave.com show in the same video a normal good known CAN high and CAN Low waveform and a bad CAN high and CAN Low waveform!!! So I don’t know 🤷♂️ what is your question!?

PETE SAMBOLIN, what do you use to test each CAN module to make sure they are working good, do you use a scanner and what scanner do you use? When your CAN BUS signal is bad and the hexidecimal value is bad how do you know which CAN module is causing the problem? How do you disconnect each CAN module one by one using what the cars fuse box?

bill williams Hi 👋 should put in the video description all the tools 🧰 I used too diagnose CAN BUS network communication problem! But a regular car voltage meter will do the trick! A break out box for the OBDII DLC connector will be an exceptional tool to have because the incontable place they put this connector! Otherwise you have to disconnect the DLC from the location and backprobing the wires because if you used the front terminal you will create another problem! But if you watch in my channel Jeep Cherokee Latitude 2016 is like 3 videos about struck by lightning 🌩 you will see how too determinate went is a bad module by connecting a ohms meter on the CAM lines and start disconnecting modules intel the ohms readings go to specification which is 60 ohms....

PETE SAMBOLIN, how does the CAN Bus signal when looking viewing a CAN bus signal show the electronic tech the failures and common problems? how can a electronic tech know there is a problem or failure when looking at a CAN bus signal?

bill williams Hi in the 9.25 minutes in this video you can see a bad waveform and take a closer look of the cursor #1 and cursor #2 Yellow trace voltage 1.600 that's the CAM positive and should be like 2.5 volts and the green trace is the negative CAN and is -1.367 and should be -2.5 volts so voltage is wrong and waveform signature signal is a life proof of a bad CAN + and CAN - have problems ....
