Yes, agreed. When you hear about a single father raising his kids alone everyone treats him like he's some kind of hero, and neighbours offer to help him out with babysitting or take him cooked meals and whatnot. It’s so weird that these parents can’t answer any of these questions. My dad could probably answer *all* of these questions. Except blood type, probably. Nobody in my family knows

No one knows or bothers to find out what their blood type is in most of the countries I've lived in. The only people that seem to know are the ones who've had medical emergencies (and their family + close friends) where they had to find out

@@StaRScreaM-du6fn but it's true most fathers don't see it as one of their "duties" to know us or take care of our day to day needs, it's always the mothers job even if she herself also works. My dad was very involved when I was younger as I grew older he made it seem its my mom's job to deal with me it's like that for most people idk why it's like that. I'm not gonna generalise tho, in special circumstances dad's really love and care about their kids and want to have a strong bond with them and I love that.

True I didn't even know it was Father's Day until I saw American celebrities posting about it and even when I was younger we never celebrated it. I know 1 month before mother's day there's lots of sales & publicity everywhere but for Father's Day you don't hear a thing

As a father who know the bithdays of all my kids, know the names of their friends and colleagues and where they live, and which books they are currently reading.....this pisses me off. Really pisses me off. It is NOT funny, it is actually mega-sad and may be one of the reasons who so many dads lose custody, when divorce happens.

No it's not. I don't know it and my parents don't know it either. I am from Germany and read that you should find it in your vaccine cetificate or the ,,Mutterpass" but it's not filled out🤷♀️ I have to check my birth cetificate, but if it's not there the only option is to make a test.

The only reason why my dad vaguely remembers my birthday is because its 7 days after his. Even then, it's an afterthought for him (usually scratching his head a few days later saying "has your birthday passed yet?" On another note, I really don't understand why men are let off the hook about being so blasé about (sometimes) critical information about their kids?! That dude didn't even know that his son was allergic to penecilin 😳. That kind of ignorance could be life threatening. They can no longer use the excuse of hardly being home due to working hard to provide for their kids, because women work just as hard. Its unacceptable!
