Did you recently get a cream or some other skincare product with retinol in it? I seem you remember you might have. If you have been using that it might explain some of the peeling.

I totally forgot to tell you that I have a possible solution for the problem with your husband's ring. Try surgical or stainless steel. Not only is waaaay cheaper than platinum (a search of "stainless steel band" and it came up with dozens of options, a plain band was as low as $8.98) it is non-corrosive and doesn't scratch. A friend also reacts to gold and he went this route and hasn't had a reaction since. I hope this helps! 😊

caffeine is a diuretic and will dry you out completely. for every 8oz of dr pepper drink 16 oz of water. so cut back your pop/coffee intake to a couple a day ( i know it's very hard to do ;) ), and drink 2 of those teal water bottles of water a day. your skin and hair will thank you. your bladder not so much.

If your hair and face (and anywhere else) is all of a sudden getting really dry it might also be lack of overall hydration. I get like that this time of year and have to drink more water and electrolytes to balance out the drying. If you struggle with drinking water try drinking something that adds electrolytes, like liquid iv or body armor (be careful of the sugar though lol). Also as others mentioned retinol can cause drying like that. I have a hard time with retinol so I switched to bakuchiol and that is less harsh for me.

Oh your not the only one. I live in Texas and I honestly feel like I’m allergic to the sun. It doesn’t even have to be 5 minutes and my skin immediately freaks out so I have to wear long sleeves all year long. But I think it’s genetic because my cousin has it too he says he itches so bad he almost wants to take a knife to skin and our grandmother would blister in the sun so we probably got it from her. (I’m just grateful, my mom’s side probably lessened it for me.🙏🏻)

I have fine hair and my ends get super dry. I just recently learned how to treat that. You need like three products a good shampoo and conditioner, hair mask, a good leave in conditioner after shower to seal in the moisture, and a light bonding oil to keep on ends between washes. I have noticed a big difference following these steps. Hope this helps 😁. Also it sounds like you need a good exfoliator and moisturizer. I use good molecules pineapple rice exfoliator it's super gentle and not grainy. 😊

Your hair looks amazing. Your hair journey has been really difficult for you, I know, but it looks so much healthier and full and luscious. The reason why your hair, towards your ends, feel crispy and won’t retain water is because the cuticles are completely split. There are five different ways your hair can split and because yours feels crispy, you may have feathered split ends. With so much fraying on each strand, there’s nothing for moisture to hold onto. The best thing to do is cut them off. And I know that’s a scary thing especially when you want to hold onto as much hair as possible. But getting some layers cut off would help immensely and your hair will hold onto a lot more moisture.🩵😘

Squeeze out the excess water in your hair, put the mask on , clip up up your and put a shower cap on, leave it for as long as possible and at least 5 minutes. Do that as you conditioner every time you wash your hair, go as long between washing it as possible. Stop blow drying it and just air dry, use purology leave in conditioner spray ( it’s expensive but it lasts forever, my hair is past my butt and it lasts me a long time). Put a tea good quality hair oil on your ends only. Use professional shampoo, wash only the scalp and roots, wash twice( I know sounds scary to those of us with dry hair, but trust me it works). This will save your dry hair. As for skin, don’t use soap . I wash my face in the morning with my hands and warm water , immediately moisturize I like cetiphil cream. And I use a makeup eraser with warm water and soak a wash cloth in warm water and steam my face. No breakout’s and my skin is less dry. Only use soap on your pits, butt feet, under boobs and lady bits. Warm water every where else . Use tshirts to dry hat and skin leave your skin slightly damp and moisturize with heavy moisturizing cream ( cetiphil) all over. This will really help with dry skin. I’ve got nothing for nails, I’ve tried everything but nothing works. I just get dip manicures to help my nails.

My "drink more water" tip is a bit of brain hacking where you get a glass of water and a glass of something you enjoy drinking -- mine was sweet tea, Alexandria's is Fresca, yours might be a diet coke or juice, whatever, doesn't matter -- and every time you take a drink of the thing you enjoy drinking, follow it up with a drink of water. I trained my brain to actually enjoy and crave water doing this because I think the close proximity of drinking the water after something I really enjoyed made my brain think I also really enjoyed water. Now I drink more water than just about anything else and feel much less guilt when I have a coffee or a tea.

For drinking more water - I am the same way. The best way I've found to get myself to drink more is the liquid flavoring things. Not the powder stuff - Crystal Light is fine but I just don't reach for it. But the Kool Aid Liquid? I'm all over that. Or the Mio flavors, particularly the lemonade one.

I've been using the OUAI hair mask for a few years now and I love it! I use it once a week. Doesn't weigh my hair down (I have oily roots) but gets it nice and soft

Ooh I also have oily roots. Some things weigh my hair down so it’s nice seeing something that helps without doing that.

@@boogiebear3095 Yeah, just make sure to get the one for fine hair and don't put it too close to your roots! There's another one for thicker hair that I think might be heavier. Not sure if FFF is going to have both options available or not.
