The woke female power is getting old. Second, this woman isn't natural. She states in recent years there's been a boom of females doing calisthenics. Take a guess what happened to women in those years? Gear usage went up, social media became a way to make money and hormones have become incredibly easy to acquire. There is a reason that in drug tested competition, like gymnastics, women don't do these exercises. They can't. The US military spent millions upon millions figuring this out. Only 1 woman out of 10,000 with over 4 months of intense personal training was able to pass the male fitness test (push ups, sit ups, run and pull ups). Go do research man, in absolutely controlled environments, women cannot do these movements. Ever.

i remember in elementary gym class like 20 years ago. me and 1 girl had the most pull ups in the fitness test. she was in gymnastics and i was always climbing around outside school. she was one of the strongest individuals ive ever known. total BADASS

Yep... and thats why I call BS on the whole premise of this vid... If one wanted to see a girl do pullups all they would have to do is watch 1 of the 1000s of vids that have been on the net for decades that show girls CAN do pullups. I kinda feel vids like this are simply trying to misrepresent the situation in order to exasperate a fake gender war... for soShill media views... of course. If someone was to proclaim that "girls cant do pullups"... That makes them silly AF and easily provable wrong. Certainly not something that a rational person should be reacting to.

Then your entire class is weak, no offense. If you knew anything about female gymnastics, I have three daughters enrolled and a fourth daughter that will soon join them, women don't do upper body routines. They do uneven bars. They don't do rings and they don't do pure pull ups. Female gymnasts are drug tested from an early age and develope very different figures to this woman, and they still struggle to do anything upper body wise. The uneven bars are a combination of legs and arms with rotation instead of static holds or isolated contractions. Know why? Bc natural women can't do pull ups!

THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU! I've been following fitnessFAQs for nearly a year, and just recently started following Summer. There have been times that I've wondered and worried that following the programs on fitnessFAQs maybe won't work for me because I'm female. But so far, I'm FINE, I just keep making sure to listen to my body, pay attention, and respect when my body needs more time for development or recovery than is outlined in the BBW program structure. Sometimes I'll repeat a week in the same level if I feel I need to. Thank you Daniel, and THANK YOU SUMMER!!! ❤

As I get older (43 now), I would like younger folks to know how important preventing injury is in life. Calisthenics is a great way to build those neglected muscles that cardio and even weightlifting rarely addresses. May things evolve and slow down as you get older, so start while you’re young and make it a goal to stay strong throughout your life! Just like an car, maintenance is key.

First, thank you Daniel for another absolutely wonderful video. And Summer is clearly cut from a very different cloth. Her comment about being told that she is "strong for a woman" resonated with me as an older male. I hear "strong for someone your age" (although hearing this has never actually bothered me). Everyone is familiar with the expression "damned with faint praise." My son in law refers to the kind of compliment I get as being "praised with faint damn."

Great podcast! What an incredible guest, i would love to be able to move the way she does. Her joy is infectious. Strength is always relative, even powerlifters and strongmen are forced to qualify their lifts. What weight class, which federation, what gear etc. So it's not always intended to be dismissive when someone qualifies a compliment about being strong with "for a woman". I can see how it can be frustrating though. Especially if it is a man who is compensating for his damaged ego when he realises a woman is stronger. I have had people comment that my balance or flexibility is good for a man. Usually its a genuine compliment but sometimes the infurance is that either its not that impressive relative to many females or that i am not very many 😆 Lets just apreciate each others acheivements, people are usually aware when there are others that are more accomplished.

We had a conversation about this situation and I suggested to her to start doing sports and stuff. Something clicked in her brain, the fire in her eyes... Well, 2 years later she (42kg) could pick me (75kg) up easily. Pull-ups was easy for her like it's nothing. Meanwhile I was still pretty thicc and lazy, so she started pretty much fat-shаming me, lol. So I started exercising with her, couple years later caught up with her. Feels good, man!

Probably not going to watch the entire video but just from the start i guess males have made it harder for women trying to get into calisthenics... For example what she was talking about where people say "girls can't do pull ups" or "girl push ups" Me as a personal trainer i personally say. "Most women can't do pull ups" Which is true, it's not that women CAN'T do pull ups. It's more so that most don't actually train to be able to do pull ups. As for "Girl push ups" I simply say "push ups on your knees" for example ill ask a client "can you do push ups? even if it's on your knees"
