The reason the ghost Marowak went for a ground type move on your Gyarados is because it’s classified as a wild Pokémon, and so it chooses between all its moves at random
@ShadowNinetales

It'd be funny to imagine wild Pokémon studying the type matchup chart so they can pick the best moves in battle lol. Though I can picture certain smart species doing that, like Kadabra, Lapras, Mewtwo...

Sorry for that Meowth loss but i believe it's since Yellow that the Nidos learn doublekick fairly eatly around lv. 12 to give ppl more options vs Brock, same reson for Mankey's low kick at lv. 9. To give a difficult context for comparison in R/B nuzlocke when starting with Charmander ur only good dps strategy vs Brock is actually getting a Caterpie in forest and go lv. 10+ Butterfree with Confusion Also is usually good to use that first MoonStone as soon as u get Nidorino at lv. 16 for a bulky Nidoking that'll carry though the early game :)

This run was a doozy to watch! This was an entertaining run, I hope you do more hardlockes in other guns! Also, the reason that marowak was acting like a crackhead was because wild pokemon have random ai, and the 6 trainers on cycling road have koffings and weezings yes, but they don't know self-destruct. I know this because in all my playthroughs of fire red, I've trained for HOURS on those 6 trainers lol
@HappyMerchant
3 жыл бұрын
The answer is: NO. I did some experiment: 1. In a difficult battle like, for example, against a boss (more complex AI) , quicksave before doind an attsck. 2. Proceed and make attack "A". 3. Check that enemy replies attacking with "X". 4. Load quick save. 5. Proceed and make attack "B". 6. Check how the enemy READ MY MIND and replies with attack "Y". Or even changing pokemon. I did this experiment with at least 10 times. The result was the same. The AI can read your movements beforehand.

The biggest lesson to learn from this is that grinding is important, and I feel like a lot of deaths could have been avoided had your team had been higher leveled.
@Caddynars

Yeah, but sadly it would have been against the hardcore nuzlocke rules, which prevents his Pokemon from being a higher level than the gym leader or Elite Four member he currently battles.

@@Caddynars no, grinding is allowed as long as you don’t level past the level limit. A lot of deaths could’ve been avoided by having Pokémon at the level cap during the gym leader battle.
