Spore was a fun game until the space age. It became kind of meandering at that point and was hard to run. I think something that would have really helped the game during that phase is if you could have set up passive trade routes to make money instead of having to travel and sell everything personally. You'd have more time to terraform and explore if you could do that.

Might be open to it someday. In that vein, there's a lot of series I do and have done in the past in a similar regard that never actually took off, so I'd definitely check down in the channel history. Rimworld, Kenshi, and PZ have a lot of examples like that. Loved doing Torsolo, though Torsquad was one that was a natural sequel and lasted for about 10 videos of epic poetry, and it didn't really get much traction in the end, so that's largely why I've moved over to one-shot segments. While I'd love to do more stuff like that, you definitely hit the nail on the head in that it can hurt to keep making a series that not many people want to watch for a full month of committed videos. Still love doing that type of storytelling, though! You might see a few cameos or similar things in the future, but they'll most likely be presented as separate segments if that makes sense. On the other hand, too, it's a nice way to do stuff because it's let me expand the catalog of games I do :) Hope you enjoy!

It would be amazing if this game just got remastered keep the graphics the same just add more to the campaign and customization and that would be epic

I once did something like this challenge for myself back then. I played with a mod that amplified the terrain(giant mountains, deep/nonexistant oceans) as a two-vertebrae worm with nothing but a spike. The smallest possible size. It was an adventure They didn't make it past the tribal stage before going extinct

When evolution won't transform your body, so you go on a journey of personal transformation instead. Truly inspiring stuff. Or, well, it would be, if it were not for the fact that these creatures have no eyes to see this inspiring journey with, so they will remain forever oblivious of their peers' triumphs.

Oh man. This game brings me memories. Kidnapping, exterminating random tribal factions. Picking sides in tribal factions having an all out war. And oh, I can't forget the times I gave tribal factions false hope, thinking I took their side in their puny war, before I blew up their entire planet. Aaaaaand I'm definitely a psycho.

Honestly, I think this would be way harder as a carnivore, because to get food, you have to kill things. And there would be less creatures for socializing with, cause I tend to see more aggressive creatures as a carni. With your single level 1 bite.

I feel so bad because as a Sims obsessed kid, my parents bought my sister and I Spore, and we both gave up on it and thought it sucked - honestly it was just too hard for our foolish wee child brains. But I remember how excited we were for a new Will Wright game and then how much we bashed it when we couldn't figure out how to play it 😭 seeing it now I'm astounded at how cool it is

Hey Amphibian! Would you kindly give Caves of Qud some love? Roguelike in the spirits of CDDA. Very immersive setting in a post-postapocalyptic world where water is currency in a land of Salt. Love it to bits. You would crush it with your worldbuilding!

Okay well Spore was my childhood and all but I'm simply impressed by how existentially and psychologically amazing this video is, given its based around a blind phallic vegetarian species of worms that have no moral compass and bring nothing but mayhem everywhere they go disguised as presents gently carried in their non-existent arms. I will absolutely be subscribing...
