As an artist who struggles to create anymore, your ink monsters designs inspires me to create again. I think artists get so stuck in one medium (i used to be just pencil and paper) that its easy to get stuck. But ive been trying different methods of art (im not as good at) but it frees my creativity. And this inspires me so much

Don’t give up. If creating makes you happy keep searching for a medium that suits you. I still paint and draw even though I’m not spectacular at either. I found photography about 14 years ago and that was the creative outlet that I ended up thriving at. It’s all for your own pleasure at the end of the day. Good luck in the future all of you creative souls out there.

@@coryblank7802I have the same issue! Try to work more with your hands! Like carving, casting, acrylic work, beading, wire wrapiny, models, Lego, etc. Clay is one of my favorites along with metal casting. I love clay because it's so free flowing and can change the moment you have the idea. Pencil sucks for me because of how final and "hard" the black line is. I'm afraid to make mistakes as it is, so when I do with pencil, it gets under my skin and kinda haunts me and stares at me, mocking my failure. I like water color and painting in general because it's also more free flowing and any mistake can be painted over. And remember! Just because you're trying out a new medium, DOES NOT MEAN that you have to create something. Just explore with it, like a child would. Just the act of creating and trying new things will start the flow going and help you get over a block that you're experiencing with your preferred medium 😊

I've even tried making an ink monster, but it ended up looking like you a bit- a wise nordic wizard that is. You also helped me understand ADHD a bit more thanks to your videos about feeling overwhelmed and overstimulated after concerts, I always felt similiar, but I could never find an explanation until you talked about your experience. I have had a terrible fear of zombies ever since I was a kid (to the point where even a mention of the word would guarantee I’d have a night terror) - but it’s perspectives like these that have helped me to better understand my phobias and how to overcome them. And after 20 years I can finally watch videos like this on the topic without being phased (although I still wouldn’t walk within 10 feet of a Walking Dead event lol). Thank you for the thoughtful discussion - now I realise that my fear of Zombies is actually related to a fear of being Consumed, as an Individual, or being suffocated by the masses and loosing autonomy over the things that make me unique, in favour of Assimilation into “The Norm”. Again, thank you for the insight (and the cool art, too) ^_^
