Today we’re starting the conversation about forgiveness in marriage; what it looks like, how to do it, and examining our choice to show it.
We’re talking about forgiveness, specifically forgiveness within marriage. This may seem like a simple topic, but it can get complicated when we are unwilling to forgive, or if we are accustomed to holding grudges, or if we simply don’t communicate properly around the topic of forgiveness.
I want to explore some things about forgiveness in the coming weeks!
For example:
Do we have a list of things, that we know before getting married, we just could "never" forgive?
Does our forgiveness have conditions? Limitations even?
Has, “I’m sorry” been diminished over time?
Is it possible to forgive and forget? Should we do either?
I’d love to hear your thoughts about this because forgiveness can be a really touchy topic!
