A year of balance and stepping back has certainly been earned! Heal physically, mentally and spiritually. You will comeback much stronger for it, whether it ever includes Barkley again or not. Nothing but the best to you and your family!

Hey Gary, you did not finish the Barkley marathon yet. But you archived something else. I think two weeks ago I chatted to my friend from BC while I was running here in Germany. She messaged me that she has a friend who is a professional trail runner. Your name was the first name who came to my mind and I was right. With your mental strength you motivated me to run a long time ago. In the documentary “Where dreams go to die” they say that no one knows the finishers but everyone knows the one who did not finish. Maybe that’s true. But you are known as the one who get up again and fight for your success. This is so inspiring. Thank you.

Hi Gary if you watch your own video where dreams go die.. near the end you say * i know i can do it, i will do it *... there was a doubt in your face in your eyes i think. You have done it twice basically u just need to clean up the form :D start to believe in yourself . im not a runner but i can see you have the physical capability maybe focus more on the mental. maybe try few other different things. winterisation, wim hof breathing and some other stuff. you need like 1-2 percent improvement thats all. ANd never ever give up, i will await your victory in the coming years
