This is fabulous Jason, you’ve started my brain noodling and I’m definitely going to try this. I haven’t tried this, I have been wondering if there were an easy way utilizing the recording to device feature that would allow me to pull a saved clip (10 or 15 seconds) simply pull that into Multicam as a video and play during the livestream? It would take a similar amount of dexterity, would be pretty cool. Honestly for people attending games (baseball and football especially) I think you would find you’d dramatically increase the number of people watching so they could see “instant replay” of close calls. Nearly every baseball game there are parents wishing they could see a replay. Adding this feature to Multicam would be ideal, just build in a 60 second capture recording and a feature that allows you to select it and then replay when you get a break in the action, kind of the way a dashcam runs continuously, when crash is detected it auto snips that last 30 seconds and saves it.

Although this is processor intensive, the newer features they are releasing are requiring better control devices (phone/tablet). Absolutely would level up our live streams!

Jason, love the content and your videos have helped me through the my Mevo journey. For the comment above I like the idea of instant replay and have been thinking about how to do this unsuccessfully. I know GameChanger and SidelineHD will do highlight videos based on the scoring side of the app. I was thinking, kind of like above, being able to access that 15 to 30 second clip from there. This could just be like a feature request from the app team to have a replay button and it feeds that small video into your stream with edit and zoom feature. This way you take a play at the plate or other sports, trim it down quickly with some sliders, zoom in, and slow it down. Seeing something the same way as you did originally usually does not help if it was a close call. Only other item would be how to feed in a different camera angle that was not streamed at that time. It would be nice to be able to show the other camera angle but that is only stored on the cameras SIM card. Sometimes I think I am just trying to turn a Honda into a dragster.

This is excellent. I'd love to do this for my son's baseball team. Can you do an over the shoulder shot so we can see the sequence of taps to make that work?

Would software buttons or a physical device with buttons work better?

I’d personally like a software button that includes various settings (e.g. Mevo go + unmute + graphic overlay all at once in your video)

Great creative thinking. Alot of people are asking for replay. I've gone off my mevo go screencast my network couldn't handle it and would be glitchy I only use it for remote mic now.

Hi Jason, the concept is similar in Singular Live. You can overlay a video stream, and you use your own KZitem as source

@@JasonHoffmanYT actually, in Prism Live Studio app (free) you can use an external RTMP source, but in this case I believe is to push into, not to pull from, but might be worth checking too and as said, is free. Unfortunately, not valid for basketball

I'm loving this idea, but I'm wondering what it will look like with graphic overlays that are generated by GameChanger or others. Will you get a doubled up scoreboard? Going to have to test this out.

If you’re monitoring the KZitem feed, it will not have the GC graphics so it will be a clean replay. But you have to be sending to YT in addition to GC (which you can do because of the Mevo Pro subscription).

The only concern for this method is double dipping in data usage. You have the mevo controller device uploading videos and Mevo Go device will need to be connected and downloading live stream at all times. If you have plenty of data on your cell Hotspot plan this would be great but I may try this at end of my monthly cycle when I know I have plenty of data left.
