CAN is having only four frames.. not 5.. and inter frame is not there.. IFS is inter frame space.. that's it..

Hello Sir , My question is all the data frames are sent in CAN bus simulatniously? or CAN Bus allows only one data frame at a time based on arbitration rank ?

Exactly, if all the nodes attempts to send their data simultaneously, CAN bus allows only one data frame to send over the bus with the help of identifier priority and Arbitration process.

Sir In this video from 5 min57 Seconds onwards , there are frames DF1 ,DF2 ,DF5 etc , So is it like after arbitartion and DF1 getting transmitted and recieved by reciever , then DF2 is transmitted ? and similarly for all the frames ?

Yes, All data frames starts after gaining the bus (Arbitration) by the high priority message.

nice video but does not understand how a receiver could be busy receiving other frame while another transmitter is trying to send his data to same receiver which return overload frame, would the new transmitter does not detect collision on bus and sit back silently.

Does the node which is sending the error frame, will transmit the error frame along with the data frame which is erroneous or after the data frame is sent.

Hi, i have a question if one node say A sends two remote frames for two different nodes B & C then which data frame is sent first to the node A which node wins arbitration as two data frames have same identifier.

how identifier will be same ?, you asking from nodes which data you want then definitely identifier has to be different ,,each data has the different ID .

hai... whenever error occur in message, is all node connected to the bus will send error frame or only node which is accepting msg will send error frame....?

1. Based on identifier nodes will decide whether they have to act on message or not.2. Suppose if the message belongs to 10 nodes then those all nodes will send an error frame to destroy the message over CAN bus.3. kindly watch Part2 and Part3, it will give more clarity.

Hai, My question is, What if requested Remote frame ID has lower priority compared to node trying to transmit Data frame of higher priority, which message will be sent on bus? is that Again Arbitration process happens between 2 messag ID, or Remote frame will anyhow takes high priority irrespective of Message ID?

Hi Sneha, Data frame has the highest priority irrespective of its identifier over the Remote frame, Because the RTR bit is dominant in data frame, where a sit is recessive in remote frame, hence data frame will win arbitration over the Remote frame always. hope you will understand now, if not please leave comments here..
