Thank you for shining a positive light on St.Louis. our city is just like any other city in the U.S., yes it has its problem areas but don't let the negative comments take away from the beauty and that can be had. I've had many people just be amazed at all of the older architecture styles of the buildings downtown. We would love to have you back and experience some of the other St.Louis staples that of locals know about. Ted Dres Frozen Custard is awsome. The Hill has everything you could want for lunch or dinner, weather it be a casual lunch or a 5 star 4 diamond romantic dinner with your wife, the Hill will not disappoint. St.Lpuis style pizza is thin and crispy and sauced and topped to the edges, no crust, Imos is my personal favorite and it is NOT a national chain. You have to try toasted ravioli . There is so much you can experience and do and it will not break the bank. I hooe you felt welcome and encourage a return trip, preferably in the fall/winter where you can catch a Blues game 😁 LGB... ( Let's Go Blues). Thank you again for such a welcoming review

Born and raised in St Louis. Love the history and architecture. The craftsmanship of the past is truly wonderful. Never felt threatened in the city. We ride our bikes day and night all over the city. Like any big city or county, be aware of your surroundings. We have a condo in Lafayette Square. The Lafayette Square Park was the first public park in the city dedicated in 1851. Wonderful city parks throughout the city. Next time check out Forest Park, the Old Cathedral, the New Cathedral (used to have the largest number of mosaics under one roof in the world but I believe that is no longer the case), Union Station, the main city library downtown, St. Louis University campus to name a few places. Vin de Set, Eleven Eleven Mayo Ketchup are good restaurants to add to your list. Glad you enjoyed your time here. We welcome you and any other visitors any time.

The lake below art hill is very relaxing and beautiful. For food don't forget about Imos with the st. Louis style pizza. Though not as popular as forest park, check out tower Grove park with it's beautiful pavilions. If you're willing to go into st. Charles county, go over the Missouri river to confluence state park to see where the Missouri river meets the Mississippi river. In forest park in may/June is the free Shakespeare festival in the glen between the zoo and the art museum. On July 4th there are fireworks on the Mississippi river near the arch & over in St. Charles there are fireworks on the Missouri river. In mid September in forest park is The Great Forest Park balloon race. The only one where the launch field is in the center of a city, thus the piolets are by invitation only, and is free for the public.

And go for a ride in the huge St. Louis Ferris Wheel. - There's no way to accurately describe the City Museum. It's an amazing, gigantic fantasy looking *playground* for kids and adults. A week in St. Louis and you never made it west of 16th St. I guess as a native that I never consider how much there is to do just downtown. City Museum was founded by internationally acclaimed sculptor Bob Cassilly who unfortunately passed about a decade ago. The museum part is made of salvaged building materials and the rest is a giant playground made of whatever cool stuff they can find. Sounds like you may have missed the roof. It's crazy up there. I call the entire experience an adult sized game of chutes and ladders. As a lot of locals have mentioned, you have to see our Zoo. I love living in walking distance to one of the best rated zoos in the world and it's free to get in. The stuff you do have to pay for isn't terribly expensive. Sounds like you're not too into museums, but they are in Forest Park along with the zoo and again, free. Catch a musical on the country's biggest outdoor stage at the Muny. Again, free. Well, some seats free. First come first serve. If you like City Museum, the Science Center might interest you. Free to enter. Some paid exhibits. Or, go out to the 'burbs for the Magic House. Not free, but worth the money. Aimed at children, fun for everyone. The Missouri Botanical Gardens is a sight to see. Food and drink: Vicia, Scottish Arms, Gioia's, Shaved Duck, LoRusso's, 5 Star Burgers, etc... I hope next time you're here, you get a chance to venture out a little further. One thing about St. Louis is that it's a fairly spread out metro area. The city itself is only the beginning.

The RV park is in East St. Louis, IL, not St. Louis, MO. Just want your viewers to know that is a different state. Glad you found an RV park, however, St. Louis have an RV part 3 minutes from that Cardinal game and a few blocks from a police station on Jefferson Blvd. A few blocks away from our Union Staion and aquarium.

as many others said, you missed out on Forest park. the museums are top notch, the zoo's not bad. and the Muny, which is (i think) Americas largest outdoor amphitheater where they do shows in the summer. Most unique and best bar in STL, in my opinion is Union station. its in the grand hall of a very old and opulent train station that used to be the gateway to the west. theres an aquarium there that i would totally avoid. the price is not worth the very little attraction inside. but that bar is amazing. they do lightshows at night on the beautiful ceiling, it really makes you feel fantastic. also great unique restaurant in south city: the Shaved duck. its been on the food network, their food is awesome and its in an old house, there isn't much seating so it feels very intimate and they have great musicians play inside at night.

There is a variety of other unique places of interest in St Louis: get your picture taken next to the gigantic chess piece at the World Chess Hall of Fame which is the International Chess capital, National Blues museum. Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis has the largest mosaic collection outside of Russia (a jewel for sure to see). When shows at the Fabulous Fox start up again, it is worth the trip to see this beautiful theatre built in 1929. Theater tours are being conducted on Sat mornings. Within an hour drive, there are wineries, Six Flags, old town St Charles, Children's Museum, Transportation Museum. Come visit us! I'm sure you will find something of interest to do!

Grants Farm if you have kids. 9-11 Memorial at Fenton City Park, Ted Drews Frozen Custard, Imo's St. Louis style Pizza, Gooey Butter Cake, Sugarfire Smokehouse is another STL BBQ masterpiece, National Blues Museum, STL Zoo is the best in the country... and yes, I've been to both the National, and SD Zoo's. Toasted Ravioli, and BBQ Pork Steak are what I consider the main two STL dishes. We recently opened an Aquarium at Union Station, which is more geared for kids, but is a nice starter Aquarium. The coolest tour in STL is the Budweiser Lights tour at Christmas season. If you're willing to drive a bit out of town, Meramec Caverns is an excellent stop. One relatively unknown spot is Bonne Terre Mine. An old lead mine that flooded.

Fellow St Louisan here ✌🏽 Welcome and glad y'all had fun. Side note... Y'all were actually parked in EAST St Louis which is rrreally different than St Louis😜... We're very close to each other HOWEVER two totally different worlds 🥴 But y'all picked some GREAT places to explore and need to come back to experience more cause y'all only scratched the surface of exploring St Louis. A LOT of movies and some GREAT Actors/Music Moguls/Artist came straight outta St Louis, but because St Louis has a bad rap and a little slow when it comes to politics.... People move outta state and THEN become famous🤦🏽🤷🏽 FACTS..I have plenty for REAL famous friends who have had to leave St Louis for that reason.. Other than that, St Louis is really a cool place to be.😊 Again welcome and PLEASE come again and AGAIN!!!😘

The City Museum was originally created by Bob Casilly and the funkiness is endemic of his style of artwork. The "Museum" part of the museum was part of his then wife's influence. Sadly his passing affected some of his other projects, but the City Museum I think is still sustaining long into the future!

Thank you for thus video. Glad to know all this information and history of Budweiser Clydesdales. I love them horses. I heard it was nice to go up the arch. That sounds like fun. They have a lot to do in St. Louis. There was a movie with Judy Garland called meet me in Sf.Louis. Nice to learn about that ghost tour in the basement and the water they use for the beer. This is all fascinating to learn about. Happy Birthday Jason! Glad you had a great time. Hope you both have a great rest of the week and see you soon!

The movie was actually based on a book by Sally Benson. The Missouri History Museum used to have an exhibit focused on the 1904 World's Fair that is a major focal point for the plot of the movie. Back then they had a part of the exhibit that showcased the movie. As the movie was not filmed here, there are a LOT of inaccuracies (key being the family actually DID move to NY, but did come back to visit the World's Fair).
