Awesome technique, love it! But I also think it’s important to at least open the guard before doing it (Obviously). There are ways to open the guard, but you can’t get anywhere with this roll until you do that first. I’m definitely going to try this next time I roll in practice though. Love the video! 👍🏻💯

Man,I love this one.. as a bigger guy, I'm 240 lbs, been doing jiu-jitsu on and off for over 5-6 yrs. between back and knee Injuries and me being bigger do you have any guard passing suggestions , this one's cool, but I feel it might be tough for me to pull off. My weight and keeping my balance and base to not get rolled and swept is harder being big. I mostly apply allot of constant pressure to pass my opponents guard. But that doesn't always work, especially these smaller more flexible guys..

Tried it once on a ufc fighter, jumping over him, not even rolling. The element of surprise caught him off guard but then I didn't know how to attack from that head to head position and he wrecked my cheeky ass. Still a good memory and now I know how to attack!

@@infiniterer287 no he definitely did, and then got on top. But you do get a second of nothing where you should probably grab that other arm and immediately attack but I just didn't really know what to do. I didn't expect to even get to that point to begin with !

I feel like your opponent has to let you do this. What if he does, say anything with his arms. Or if he uses his butterflies to send you flying. And it just isn’t possible in a closed guard.

Drill it on open mat with friends before. Never try fancy stuff like that first try in a roll. U always drill or have drilled it before when u use something in a roll/sparing or else u will injure yourself or your sparring partners.

@@JordanTeachesJiujitsu Yeah you young guys like to do all that fancy shit and build up a huge arsenal of tricks you’re mediocre at. Old schoolers made us master the basics before trying berimbolos, rolling front headlocks, spinning omoplatas from lasso, or anything else that beginners shouldn’t be learning yet. Now you see kids with white belts trying all this cool looking stuff but getting smoked when they roll. Little Johnny learned all this cool stuff but he can’t shrimp outta mount. 🤷🏻♂️ But I get it, gotta sell likes, views and memberships and drilling mount escapes for an hour is boring. Yes I’m an asshole, we all need critics.
